Top 10 Most Anticipated Upcoming Chinese Historical Dramas Of 2024 - Part 1

These Cdramas are period costume (古裝）dramas, set in ancient times, not historical (歷史）dramas. Sometimes they use historical characters for the story (such as the emperors or the dynasty period) but the stories are fabricated and are not true to the official historical records. I am making this comment because I have American friends who asked me whether the stories were true historically after they watched the “historical dramas.” I have to keep on repeating to them that the stories in these period dramas are fabricated!

I greatly appreciate your detailed description of these upcoming historical dramas. First of all I'm looking for all the season 2 dramas to continue my favorites. Then I look for dramas with leads that have featured in previous work I've admired and there are quite a few in this long list. The rest I'll give a chance for a few episodes to see if they catch my attention either by a good story or great acting and production qualities.
