No one should ever underestimate this particular model of honda, even when stock with 220hp it's general set up and suspension the way it drives on any circuit could make alot of cars with more than 100hp more than itself look overrated honestly real talk it's that good. They are exceptional

ОтветитьWhat a car! Although all that money spent on mostly looks and near zero performance gains is definitely not my thing, with just half of that spent on power gains instead could have a fully build K24 in there with well over 300 hp...

ОтветитьJust as an FYI these have identical gear ratios to fn2. Which is same as ep3 but with a 5.1fd instead of 4.7. I looked at 2 of these a few years ago to buy and I love the look of them. I've had 3 dc2s and 2 dc5s for comparison. My biggest issue was how much they were. 15k for a 210hp ( on uk fuel ) civic. In the end I opted for a supercharged fn2 instead for almost half the money and spent out on brakes,dif,suspension, wheels and a good few other things for still less money. Dont get me wrong I do love fd2s it's just a shame they are so expensive. I wanted a supercharged one but at 20k+ even 5 years ago I just couldn't warrant the money.

ОтветитьAbsolutely love the car. FD2 is definitely something rare that you won’t see much at all! FN2 Champ white edition here and opted for the FD2 RRC inlet manifold on mine to help with power along with other parts. But the vtec revving all the way up to 8.6k on mine is just heaven. Enough power on the road and as you both said, very usable power!
ОтветитьIt’s a four door FN2 not instead of. The FN2 Euro was still released in Japan so imo this was just the four door variant.
Granted this was a Japanese design.

ОтветитьGot a fairly stock manual e91 325i and always been dreaming about this particular civic after trying an S2k.... Remap the n53 engine to 270ish HP and give it some nice coilovers & LSD or get one of these hand built sweeeeet civic imports in ANY configuration.... Very different philosophies... Father of 2 here soeaking... Dilemmas ❤ dilemmas 😅

ОтветитьThis car can be described with one word BALANCE, many people doing crazy builds with 800 hp and more but then who has de guts to drive them fast at the track? No one because they are undrivable.. just straight line performance, which is good if you are aiming for drag races.
People these days asks you how much hp your car has and if you say between 250-300 it's like beh, it's ok... but that hp with a lightweight car and a well round balanced car can make suffer many 600 hp cars at the track....
This is my dream build too

Loads of amazing FD2 Type R's here in Singapore. Most kept their stock spoilers but added body kits and carbon bonnets, still real clean builds tho. However they cost an avg of 120k to 150k here on the market

You can't beat raw NA vtec power in honda.. that vtec noise is so addictive!! If you see the front of one of these in your rear view mirror.. you just know you gotta move over and let it pass..
