Svitolina n'a pas raison de mélanger politique et sport.
En plus la Biélorussie n'est pas en guerre avec Kiev.
Ensuite c'est un conflit bien plus compliqué.
Au départ Kiev attaquait les populations russophones en Ukraine, voulant les forcer à abandonner leur langue (on imagine pas ça en France).
On a appelé des séparatiste, des Ukrainiens d'origine Russe, c'est fort....
Pour éviter leur épuration, ils ont demandé le soutien de la Russie.
Entre les faux accords de Minsk etc, c'est compliqué.
Pour revenir au tennis, il y a le sport, les politiques, la géopolitique.
Tout mélanger n'est pas saint.
Lorsqu'il y a des attentats, je ne crois pas et heureusement, on n'accuse pas toute une population de les commettre, donc là elle devrait en faire autant.
En plus elle n'est pas une si bonne joueuse que cela et n'a pas le palmarès ni d'Azarenka ni de Sabalenka.

Pour les haineux qui critiqueraient :
Beaucoup de Russes et les Ukrainiens vivent ensemble sous le même toit, mari et femme et beaucoup ont des familles communes.
Je ne justifie rien, je fais preuve de discernement, ce qui manque beaucoup aujourd'hui.Les crimes contre l'humanité, on pourrait citer plein de Pays, USA en tête mais pas que.
Et il y a beaucoup de on dit, pour au final que ce soit démenti ensuite.

Svitolina is emotionally unbalanced, it's childish to feel Azarenka is in anyway supporting Russia in the war and is somehow to blame for what's happening there. Azarenka has made her personal thoughts clear and does not support. The booing crowd were projecting their own hatred onto Azarenka in their own ignorance.

Couldn't care less about handshakes, tennis players have nothing to do with political stuff and they are all privileged, spend most of their time and live in foreign countries, so really... if they shake hands or not, it doesn't mean a thingm wheter it comes from one side or another. All players should be told to shake hands and show respect, if they don't then they should be banned from next match. No one should be allowed to disrespect the game that way, does not matter who they are. This should be hit on the head before Wimbledon turns into the next circus.

The Ukrainian players are afraid of a backlash from the people and government of Ukraine, but they should not and do the right thing, they play mind games to upset their Russian and Belarusian players. I'm from South Africa and our government would like to negotiate rather than send weapons like the West, and the ship that was here in SA did not supply weapons to Russia like reported in the western media , they regularly dock here.
