Alt National Park Service has been posting on Facebook. Apparently, mainstream news has been going by lists of people who signed up in advance of No Kings day. Alt Park Service went a couple of steps further: they recognized that lots of people didn't sign up, but they showed up; and they got attendance numbers from local officials, at large and small cities and towns. They got a tital of 12 million plus!

You should interview Timur Kuran, Professor of Economics and Political Science at Duke University and his work on Preference Falsification, which predates this work by about 20 years and explains exactly how this process works because it really isn’t about having 3.5% support. It is about having more than half the support that currently is silent and is scared about saying anything. The groups that make it feel okay to reveal your true preferences that are able to succeed.

Final national count for No Kings March is 13.1 million per Alt National Park Service. 3.5% of US population of 342 million = 12 million. We need to keep protesting and VOTE at midterms! A total of 468 seats in the US Congress (33 Senate seats and all 435 House seats) are up for election on November 3, 2026.

This is misleading us again with false hope. A largely uneducated population voting in a gerrymandered country with an electrical college that gives exaggerated influence to small conservative minorities is hard to defeat. I’m dealing with wholesale government corruption and an environmental catastrophe in Delaware. A Trump connected factory is abusing the public utilities becsue the factory is broken. 3.5% protesting the government isn't going to do shit when 24% of the population voted for this. Also, in 2 years when the Repugnicunts have once again blown any chance of doing something (as they're known to do) the Demoncraps will gain seats in either the House or Senate and will be able to be "obstructionist". Then, in 2 more years Trump will be gone and the protests will end anyway.

We are on the move . Indivisible and others that are coordinating and complementing our protest are utilising our individual skills and commitment. As groups we are bringing others in and finding our strength and resilience. I believe the regime is intrinsically weak and we are strong. We are woke, and though they have money and power now, they are broken and they are breaking.

You're forgetting the most important part - the protests make trump look bad and many news stations are self-censoring. Trump is currently suing CBS for $20 billion to send a message to everyone else.

I think it truly matters what the goal of the movement. Removal of foreign invaders or the overthrow of a government might require violence and the 3.5% rule won’t apply. Change in the way government operates or related to specific movements, yes I think the 3.5% rule may make sense

This makes more sense to me than the requests from democrats for money. It is absolutely insane to me how much money was spent to insure Trumps election.

This is great. I will admit that after the election, the exhausted multitudes needed a month or 5 to sit in a hole and lick our wounds, but it is good to see the useful activities recurring. One could wish the Constitution contained a recall mechanism for te President, but in its absence, tis will have to do.
