I will never understand how stupid some people can be. These are real soldiers carrying real weapons. 99% of American soldiers and British Soldiers could never make it as a Guard at the Tomb of an Unknown or as one of the Queens’ (well, Kings now) Guards. They truly are elite but because they don’t look like Tier 1 or 2 “Operators” these people think that they’re security guards with fake weapons or some crap. So stupid.

How can some people be so damn dense?!

As a Norwegian, in great nations like Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Britain, the monarchy has its place. In Norway its still the king/queen that writes things into law, and that has massive value when the elected government has to answer questions like "how will this improve the lives of the people?" and "who's lives will this law improve?" and "how will we measure if this law works and who will be held responsible if it does not work?". Democratic monarchies have a level of protection from the rich and wealthy that republics don't. Its still illegal to run political adverts in Norway except in severely limited forms at certain times and places. So money does not buy more free speech than your only vote.

If I ever see one of these guards I'll salute them and shout "thank you on behalf of the Norwegian people for your institution giving asylum to the Norwegian government during WW2. That makes you the guard of true freedom and civilization".
