I worked with a guy whose baby was about to be born and instead of celebrating the birth of another child, he made the gesture of rubbing his index and middle fingers with his thumb when i said congratulations. Im sorry but im a moderate but its hard to deny the argument that welfare had a disastrous effect on the single motherhood rate in the black community and incentived the creation of more kids at the same time. I get correlation ≠ causation but when you look at the statistics and timeline, its pretty hard to come up with any other good reason.

I love to ask people who promote a weath tax, "if I get taxed on my gains, do I get a tax return if my wealth drops?". A wealth tax is insane and if you just work it through a couple steps, it becomes evident really quick how unrealistic it is.

lance is totally wrong when he said building houses for homeless people would save society money. he isolated one cost that might be save, but completely disregards the cost of building the houses, it the cost of the negative incentives. his argument is absolutely flawed with that. that would be like saying you are spending 150k to build a pool at your house, and it will save you money because you dont to spend 5 bucks to go swimming at a public pool a couple times a month. you cant just isolate one cost and say you save there, therefore you save in general. man, his arguments are sooo stupid. also, less poverty does necessarily mean more equality like Lance suggests. you can have a a lot of inequality and still have low or no poverty in relation to a society that has no inequality. that is literally the reason why capitalism is superior to socialism, and people like Lance just cant wrap their heads around that

how are there so many morons in our country that want socialism? how many times to societies have to make that mistake for people to stop letting their laziness and entitlement push them towards it? anyone can start a socialist company in a capitalist society. socialists like to avoid that one because it highlights the fundamental flaw with socialism. the vast majority of people dont want to start a business they wont have a chance of getting highly rewarded for. it honestly doesnt even make sense to start a business in which you cant make a lot more than you would if you just worked for someone. this is exactly why socialism always leads to stagnation or worse. it removes the incentive structure that breeds new business and innovation. it is a really simple concept to grasp, and really easy to understand why it is horrible for society. its just crazy to me that they will push something likr socialism and never even have an answer to pretty much the most basic question regarding it. as a business owner that worked my ass off to get it started, invested my life savings, and put more money in to keep it running during rough times, people like Lance truly piss me off. he is so un-american and ignorant it is disgusting to me. i pay my employers the going rate for their positions, maybe even a little more, which is higher than my base salary. i am so sick of hearing people like Lance advocating for the confiscation of wealth of anyone to took the risk and put in the effort to build a business. a huge percentage of companies fail, and those founders lose everything in many cases. and then when they do succeed, people like him want to take their profits to give to people that didnt want to take the risk? honestly, screw him and people like him. who in the right mind would take that risk just to have little benefit? his position completely goes against the values of america
