That Eddie Alvarez KO sequence is absurd. Dustin’s striking defense while mixing up his attack constantly left Eddie hopeless.

While watching this I realized that I’ve never knocked anyone out in my life. I’d never really put any thought into it. Now, I”ve never started a fight in my life because I’m not a douchebag, but I’ve definitely finished every fight I’ve been forced into. However, I’ve only ever had to fight drunken douche bags or mouthy people who crossed a line, but they were normal humans so it’s nothing impressive either way. I preface all of that to say that while I don’t WANT to hurt ANYBODY… knocking someone must be a strangely incredible feeling. Even more so, knocking out another professional fighter must feel beyond what words could explain. We’re humans. Everyone of us exists because at least SOMEONE in our bloodline undoubtedly had to fight for their lives. It’s in our DNA whether we’re kind or not.

So again… I don’t want to hurt anybody… but that feeling must be incredible.

Poirier-Holloway part II was at UFC 236 in ATL. The highlight of the mounted armbar was from the first time they fought, down at featherweight. The 236 part II fight was for the interim LW strap at the time.

Hello.. I wish they would form a group to monitor the referees and teach the referees that whenever a fighter's opponent is confused by punches, they should act quickly to end the match.
