15w50 in a high performance engine is a complete mystery to me, i've worked in the racing industry for 20 years and just don't understand why you would use such a high viscocity oil in a built engine, your tolerances should be really tight meaning that oil just isn't going to lubricate and will cause many other weight and power sapping issues

I wish there is a good machine resurfacing shop in my country that do similar job to my engine ( i am building a m50 super built but still haven't done anything significant)

This looks like a fun build! However, I’d personally check the piston ring gaps and bearing clearances with the head studs, gasket, and a torque plate installed, as well as the main girdle and sump brace installed and torqued down to get a more accurate measurement of the correct clearances; the amount of force applied to the head studs and main studs when fully torqued down are known to cause a measurable distortion in closed deck cast iron block sleeves, as well as main bearing journals, especially in RB25/26’s.

Bro way to much silicon that your are using for the gaskets of the water pump and the other parts. If you use that much it could get in to the oil canals and block the oil from going up where it needs to be 😊

Nice vid and all this stuff but how's the turbo or the engine going to survive with an 15w50 oil? I know its 100% synthetic, competition oil etc but 15w50 is usually used for N/A engines if u ask me.
