2015 Yamaha FJ 09 first ride with unexpected ending.

how much is the fuel capacity?
does it have any traction control modes?

Yami 900s have real problems with the Cam Chain tensioners. Revzilla, in their review video of the xsr900 said one of the first things to do is replace the auto tensioner with a APE manual tensioner, less than 100 bucks. Chuck this is a real problem with an easy fix. Do some research. Best of luck. I'm thinking of moving to this bike from my FJR. Keep us informed.

Cam chain tensioner? Heard that's an issue with this engine. There's a recall on that part.

I've had my Tracer now for about 7 months. I've put about 10,000kms on in that time. No issues....although I did have my dealer complete the CCT as per the recall ( or whatever you want to call it ). Sorry to hear you're having issues. Keep us informed as to what's happened. I love the bike, though! Cheers!

Oh bad... Bad luck. But maybe better sooner than later - seems it is some kind of an industrial norm to have certain amount of remedies. But basically they seem to be good engines.

So the dealer are agreed to replace it.

Chuck I know you talk about not being able to roll on and pass at freeway speeds.. are we talking in 6th gear only or even if you downshift there just isn't enough power? I live in So Cal and I definitely need passing power at any speed the freeways are just crazy here. I love the idea of a Versys but man these used FJ-09 deals are hard to beat too. The FJ seems almost "too serious" for what I need.

And you’ve never checked your phone at a stop light?
