The soy companies forced farmers to "sell" their land while insisting that they did not own it in the first place! Illegal and immoral!! If the Brazilian government would have supported its people and enforced environmental protections, they could have controlled these dangerous corporations. Now it may be too late to save the land and the river unless drastic reversal methods (mass planting, reduced manufacturing) are put in place. Large areaa of China and multiple African countries face similar problems of stripped land becoming uninhabitable deserts. 😔

My opinion is that the Amazon is a global treasure and policies affecting it should not only be left to Brazil. 20% of the world's Oxygen comes from there ffs

People expect these people too keep the world safe with fresh air and water but nobody wants to help them out of poverty. It's hard to think about the world when your sick and hungry. And to top it off they get next to nothing for there goods. Gasping for air makes the righteous path hard to choose, fly or die, sink or swim, which one will they choose.
