Reolink RLC-823A 16X Update - Auto Tracking with Updated Firmware

I live in a rural area. I need PTZ Zoom X50 with spot lites.

The lonk doesnt work on your short by the way it says its a broken link i think 1 bit might have been mistranslated.

Think it will have automatic zoom in place for next update ?

Ok.. so it tracks. But it doesn't zoom in on what it is tracking. So the 16X is nearly useless. And the narrow field of view is really not ideal for home use unless you have a way to mount it up high and away, but that also just exacerbates the problem with the zoom not working when tracking, like how it works with the TrackMix cameras.

Firmware as of this comment is now July 12, 2023. That's five days ago, woohooo!

The auto tracking is quite janky, it would be better if it could slowly move with the target rather than sudden, fast angle changes to where it thinks the target is going.

Just wanted to confirm i was reading reviews on Amazon someone stated in their review that that he cannot use the PTZ opinion on the phone app. Is that true?

I've gone to Reolink's "download center"... The RLC-823a x16 is NOT in the list! Seems Reolink has forgotten they sold people this camera!

I really like their PC Client software, way better than being limited to a phone.

I notice the loud noise of the servos in the cameras while moving the position quickly. Can you tell us if this servo noise is audible at the distance you were away from the camera while testing the tracking? I presume it only sounds loud in the camera mic because it is close to servos, but wondering if servo noise is still audible when camera moves fast to people in area.

I was looking at another high quality auto tracking surveillance camera {Horizontal Pan: 360'}{Vertical Pan: 90'}
and it only had a "Tracking Activation Beam Vector" of (+45'/-45') to a distance of (58 Yards)-[53 Meters].
