5 Must-do Family Friendly Hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park

Some of my favorite lakes an hikes to! Sprague lake is the best with Bear Lake being my 2nd favorite! We will haven't been to Lake Irene will have to check it out next time we go to Co.

I am from Arlington,, Va and now in Leesburg, Va. Just came across this clip. My first job out of high school was in 1974 when I landed a summer job with National Park Service.. My job was working with 4 other people by keeping the hiking trails clean in safe. We would hike about 11miles a days then pitch our tents off the side of the trail in a secluded spot. We would work 10 days then get 4 days off. We lived in the barracks the park service provided for us. We sure did party those 4 days. Can recall a place called the "Rock Inn" in 1974. Hear its still there. Once my buddy and I hitched a ride to Denver to see Johnny Winter in concert at the coliseum. Another time to Boulder to see my cousins. Had a few keg parties as will. Drinking age back then was 18. I still didn't recognize anything on this clip. Its been since 1974 since I have been there. Still remember the scenery. every now and then our boss who was Ron Harris would let us take a day off and have people come up to bring us beer. Heard that Ron Harris has died. Great guy. After seeing this, makes me want to go back. Maybe this coming spring.

For my visiting duration in Co. I was only given the non bear lake corridor entrance. Any recommendations on that part of the national park.

Most of the time accessible (Accept Lake Irene) but conditions can always change and roads can get shut down because of snow at any time.
