ОтветитьMy dad was a truck driver growing up and use to break my heart God dam sing has me balling at 1am... but the lights stayed on and we never went without
ОтветитьDamn brother
Ответитьoh man this is top 5 on my all time favorite list. Going to hard to take over With or Without by U2 .
Ответить😢This song is one that will bring tears to your eyes o my gosh I love listening to your music it's full of truth etc
ОтветитьMy dad worked on tow boat gone half our lives
I think all kids think their parents don't spend enough time with them but time don't give us time
I hope we all live long enough to know
Most of our time we have to go
And maybe we can spend some quality time with our grandchildren
I love this song ❤
All I'm going to say is this song got me. Because of the truth behind it. It does hurt.
ОтветитьDad was a police officer for thirty years. Growing up it was often days and nights without seeing him. 40-hour homicide shifts sometimes meant we wouldn't see Dad for days, they would flip his schedule and he would work a 12-hour night shift for two weeks. Dad worked late, he worked weekends, he worked holidays. When he did come home before bedtime, it was a special moment. All for us to grow up without struggling for food on the table, or a roof over our heads, all the while, the lights stayed on.
ОтветитьLuke combs never disappoint... what an artist! So good!
ОтветитьMy husband is on call every year for our daughters birthday. Jan. 3rd in Northwest Ohio. Seems to be the COLD WEEK. He is always out getting those furnaces working. He works so hard for us and one day she’ll understand why. We appreciate everything you do Cody!
ОтветитьHe just gets better with every song.
Ответить😊
ОтветитьThank you Luke for making people feel why we need real men in this world. With all the wokeness and male hating that goes on today. The world needs to know we aren’t having it. God made us male and female for a reason.
ОтветитьOut of 12 fantastic songs on this album, this one goes straight to the heart. The wife and I decided years ago when our kids were young that I would work and she would stay home with them until they all got in school. Years of multiple jobs. It was hard. But it was worth it. Now i have four awesome adult kids and six wonderful grandkids!
Ответитьgotham city 🎉🎉🐣💥🦅
ОтветитьI rode around yesterday with my wife listening to this whole album for the first time. We were heading to meet up with our two young boys who had stayed with their grandmother and we were going to go fishing together. I cried during every single one of these songs and my wife didn’t say a word except for when I replayed another one of the songs on my phone she said, “go somewhere else with that sad music, I don’t feel like crying right now” 😂 These songs are AMAZING! I will probably tear up every time I hear one but it’s worth it! To any new dads out there, don’t rush your kids growing up and don’t get upset when they do little things that can be annoying, you’ll miss it when they are grown and look back on getting upset at them for misbehaving and feel like crap. Build strong boys and teach them right from wrong but enjoy every second that you have with them while they’re little!
ОтветитьAs a trucker this one hits home just like the song THAT PART for me.
ОтветитьA whole nother breed of singer. It almost doesn’t matter who you are or what you’re going through, he finds a way in every song to relate to everyone who listens. The messages and meanings that pull the hearts strings are all things we all feel.
ОтветитьAn ode to all the dads who wish they hadn't had to work so much overtime to support their families, but did it anyway and were anything but deadbeats.
ОтветитьAppreciate the wholesome story telling of your songs. Thanks!
ОтветитьListen to this then dax to be a man. Hits hard
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьFrom a british sailor currently off the coast of colombia... This makes me miss home and my family more than anything... Not home until october 11th :( wish i could see my family more often.
ОтветитьJamming from the oilfields of North Dakota.
ОтветитьBand is amazing along with every song on this album ❤
ОтветитьWorking Dad really feeling this song. This song encapsulates my existence right now. Tears are rolling down my face. Love this song. Luke Combs aka the GOAT.
ОтветитьRecently started a 2nd job that unfortunately takes up my weekends now... instead of Saturdays, Sundays use to be our day to have fun all day... not any more :/
ОтветитьEvery kid of a fifo worker!
ОтветитьBeing a single momma this HITS. The lights always stay on, tooth fairy money gets left and love will always fill our home❤
ОтветитьAs a career firefighter husband/father of two between the missed birthdays, holidays and family get togethers this hits home so damn hard. For all the dads out there seeing this, busting their butts for the ones they love, you're doing such an awesome job. This song hit home so damn hard. Luke doesn't f*cking miss.
ОтветитьHad the same thing with my dad when I was three. He'd commute by train from WV to DC.
ОтветитьMy father was a civil servant. A sanitation worker(Garbage Man). A Long Island thankless redneck job. He's a working class hero, and would be so exhausted after his side gig of landscaping, he could never stay awake long enough to get the attention I longrd for all those years ago. I'm here to thank him and all other blue collar rednecks for sacrificing everything for the lights to stay on... No matter what.
ОтветитьThank you, Luke for wrapping my entire life as a father into one album ❤😢🍻🍻
ОтветитьThis song is amazing. Defo my favourite on his new album. He just gets better and better! I love country!
ОтветитьTruck drivers son who became a young father here. Luke combs you are the GOAT thank you for every song
Ответитьthis is so amazing thank you
ОтветитьI love this song, and I miss my kids right now. Working and missing them. <3
ОтветитьThis made me cry so hard. I'm an 11 year old girl and a daughter of a dad who works so hard. I feel like I barely see him and me getting older and busier doesn't help. He showed me your album and played this song. He didn't notice but I was tearing up and just staring at him. This song has finally described one of my story's... thanks Luke. ❤
ОтветитьLuke can do no wrong. I don't think he's ever had a song he's sung that I don't like. More than most I love. And have on repeat because he's voice and the story lines are just that good.
ОтветитьThis hits home for me. 12 years in army national guard. 2 tours in iraq and Afghanistan. 19 years on the railroad. Not quite 40, I have 6 children, a beautiful wife and a piece of land carved by God just for us. Sits along a river in iowa. I hope they know I do it all for them.
ОтветитьNot fair man this album mad me cry every song
ОтветитьLuke combs brother you are amazing
ОтветитьThis whole album is frickin amazing!! I'm 47 years old, grew up listening to country, then not liking it for most my life. Now, all I want to listen to is country. I love Luke, damn this man can sing with all that heart!! Please keep making this incredible art, bro!!
ОтветитьI can't stand to watch this bullshit after seeing him wreck his own stage like a toddler throwing fits, typical male
ОтветитьI don't know if the guy with the electric guitar is Luke's musician, but certainly in these videos the poor guy doesn't give a damn. Either it's not him or he doesn't remember the songs hehehe.
ОтветитьAlbum of the year!
ОтветитьAwesome song. I was blessed that I/we had a father who always made time for us❤. A True Blessing from God😅
ОтветитьMy mom moved me to florida without knowing me and my family would not be okay with it and I haven't seen my dad in almost a year . This made me cry for hours😢
ОтветитьWhen I heard your first song, I knew you were going to be a force to be reckoned with. You have become that force. This song is the epitome of what a good song should be and it is. T😮ears! When I figure out how, I know what my son and 3 grandsons are getting for Christmas! Luke, you are the best! From an admirer, a retired teacher in Franklin, NC. Keep up the good work. Thank you for your efforts for Helene’s damages. We have years infront of us. Take care of your health!
ОтветитьMy sister died when i was 11 in a horrific car wreck... Daddy went to work 100 hours a week an momma never said a word during her coma around christmas 20 years ago... I resented my middle sister momma and daddy for years... I ran from them for 20 fucking years cuz they left me alone...... Maybe tonight is the night i heal for my kids man... Whoever wrote this song... Fuck you. Thank you
