Ciao Mario, this was very informative. Registering is the first step. However what would be the option in our case. We are twin brothers and trust each other 100% with our business. We are filmmakers and actors and have been running a partnership for 15 years doing our own accounting. We are also self employed as some jobs required our services individually. So do we quit the partnership and change it into a limited company? is it correct to say that one of us is the director and the other one is the share holder? in this case what happens? As a director I choose to be a share holder at 50% so my brother can get the remaining 50%? also can we issue invoice when doing self employed work to our own company? lastly, what would be a good SIC code to cover these jobs? Quick question, what if you're based in another country but are registering the business in UK. Would they accept foreign addresses as this is quite literally where I'd be doing business from. If I go to the UK now, it's usually AirBNB that I stay in. Don't have a permanent address in the UK.

Can you help in preparing the form request to register company ltd?

I just registered for self assessment (sole trader) moments ago, so I'm waiting for confirmation and the UTR in a couple of weeks. If I were to transition to an LTD after that would I be able to? What are the steps? Would I need to stop being sole trader first? Aim is to pay myself monthly dividends.

I wondered if there was a way around putting your date of birth on this? I don't mind them seeing my DOB as proof but why does it have to be on public record? Is there a way around it?
