These always remind me of the book Circe where she starts poisoning the men visiting her island because the first men she welcomed and fed and they SAd her.... And the nymphs were given to her to keep her company on the island i believe since she can't leave.

I love how you showed Ody going through the motions of Eurylochus betraying him and just going "f*ck it, f*ck y'all." Beautifully done!!!

eurylochus is full of shit
he acts so outraged and shocked when odysseus sacrificed six people when it was absolutely necessary (this is our only way home)
when he was completely ready to abandon ALL of the crew when circe turned them into pigs
you could even argue he was right the first time because they could only stand against cercei with the help of hermes, and you can't expect to get divine intervetion everytime they encounter a god, six lives are very reasonable all things considered

and he FUCKING KNOWS, because in his speech in mutiny he says "And when we fought with Circe, it was you who left behind no man" AGAINST THE BEST ADVICE OF WHOM? YOU FUCKING HYPOCRITE

Fun fact: the lair of Scylla is also the lair of Charybdis. They’re on opposite sides of the strait; to avoid one is to stray within the other’s reach. Yet, Ody doesn’t encounter Charybdis until much later. I still can’t wrap my head around that.

I love how the purpose of the torches is illustrated so clearly in this. The use of selective color/object source lighting is brilliant. ❤

Eurylochus honestly has no right to get mad at Odysseus since if he just kept his curiosity aside and didn’t let anyone open the bag while their captain was asleep then none of this might’ve happened since they were almost about to reach itacha
