I have tamed a level 449 pteranodon and get 300 points into stamina??? So how is it possible to get 300 into it if the point limit is 255?

I've watched alot of videos on breeding and mutation stacking and tried to compare all of them together and as far as I see most are similar but some are different. For example I watched a 2 hour long video guide on breeding and when they got a mutated female they would breed that female with a base stat male to transfer that mutation (without getting another mutation) over to a male baby to replace the previous male but here you say not to do that as it gives fake mutations? I wanted to know as the video I saw wasn't for mobile version but was on pc and idk if that's any different. I know levels work the same. Plus when you breed a low level with the mutated one to get a lower level that's called reverse breeding I believe and the lower level is coming from combining that low levels stats in oxygen, food and even speed AKA wasted stats to your mutated Dino thus lowering the level as your getting rid of points instead of adding them. To get the best out of it find the lowest level Dino you can, knock it out and punch it to lower it's taming effectiveness to 0 so you won't get extra levels put in when taming it. Plus I believe if you did max out all mutations on both sides I believe you can breed that male/female with a base stat Dino which then transfers all mutations to one side however it halves the chances to get a mutation as one side is still maxed out so you would need a mutation that is on the other side.

I have a question, for example after trigering 20 mutations you can mate that dino with another one to increase points on health and so on with the rest of stats? as long as they don´t go over the level cap with even numbers. I hope I´m making sense
