That I’m Gonna Find Another You jam was sex
Ответить"I'm not a blues player by any stretch of the imagination..." Oh yeah? You've got an excellent grasp of those micro tonalities that make that guitar talk. And your lines were clean and musical. Kudo's bro!
ОтветитьIdk the classic vibe was too rocky not enough blues cmon
ОтветитьBuddy Guys most played guitar is a Stratocaster. He also plays a Telecaster.
The Hollowbody 335 is BB Kings thing.
Have you guys ever thought of doing bass and guitar sounds like combos for those like beginner band groups?
ОтветитьOf all the "Sounds like.." videos, this is my favorite. Well done!!
ОтветитьWho else is buying a wah just to do pingu now? 😂
ОтветитьI like Matt’s rig. Bea is definitely a blues player. But I’d go Epiphone Les Paul standard, Marshall origin 20c, ts9, carbon copy, then with some of the left over money put a g12 or v30 speaker in the amp. A.k.a. the budget version of my rig
ОтветитьLove the peter green jam!!!
ОтветитьAll you need to play great blues is to play guitar and have a crappy life.
ОтветитьBuddy guy plays a strat.
ОтветитьToo be fair, Great shout.
Ответить1st rule of blues, GET a slide, 2nd rule of blues play with a slide.
ОтветитьYou don’t play the blues! You feel them!
ОтветитьI play As-93 in front of Orange Rocker 15 Terror, with xotic EP Booster and several drive pedals in clean channel, a very flexible blues sound
is possible, without an amp which is known for it
Well I have some tones to try on my fender now thanks guys
ОтветитьNever do any Reggae do they
ОтветитьDONT by from China! Any company over 100 people have to become a part of the communist party and donate to it!
ОтветитьPlease...ultimate blues rig busting the bank...
Ответитьi don't know how much this is in pounds, but if i were to do this i would do $2500 AUD (Australian) (less than the 1500 pounds, i currency is worthless) and this would be my list
fender classic vibe 60's strat: $560
fender blues junior IV: $830
MXR Dyna Comp Deluxe: $235
BOSS BD-2 Blues Driver: $159
Keeley Monterey Rotary Fuzz Vibe: $410
Dunlop CryBaby Wah: $250
= $2,444 AUD
= 1,299 pounds
fender strat because that (to me) is the bluesiest guitar ever
blues junior because it is in the name and it's very clean
you always need a compressor for cleans or overdriven stuff.
boss blues driver because it is a nice cheap overdrive that is really good, and it says blues.
Keeley Monterey because it includes (i think) a fuzz face (could be a different fuzz) which is (in my opinion) the bluesiest fuzz.
it also comes with a univibe and rotary sim which (in my opinion) are the bluesiest modulation effects ever, it also comes with an auto-wah but I wouldn't use that.
because I have a regular wah, just a crybaby, nothing special
That ibe is killer
ОтветитьStumbled on this while looking at princetons for blues guitar awesome playing by both of you n awesome choices! I totally agree with the classic Vibes range I'm lucky enough to own a 56 lefty avri re issue strat. I stumbled on a classic Vibes Telecaster in a store n ended up driving 3 hours to go back n get it as I couldn't stop thinking about the brilliant tone n how beautiful the neck etc was. Still one of my favourite guitars. N the guitarist outta Genisis uses a Squier Strat to for anyone on a budget thinking of one.
Ответитьya have to have lived um to really share em
ОтветитьBreak out the pingu goodness
ОтветитьNot bad. I was expecting a bit more to be honest. A bit more from the rig. And playing that could actually do some justice. Figured you would have taken the time to learn one blues song before shooting this.. I think you should try it again.
ОтветитьI'm late to the party but I'm not a fuzz fan. It always seems like muddy mess. To each his own. Rabea is a phenom as usual
ОтветитьAwesome work guys. Thankyou. I have an Artists Guitars Cherry58, out of Australia(China) as an ES-335 Copy. Beautiful Guitar with amazing Sound. I would Love to see You do a Sound Like The Australian Band THE CHURCH. Amazing Guitarists. Thankyou so much for all you do.
ОтветитьPlaying blues seems easier to me because it’s intuitive. Modern metal is difficult to me due to the technical aspects.
ОтветитьBlues player here, it's def difficult because it's more caught than taught! Great picks. Albert King ("Kansas City here I come") played a Flying V lol
ОтветитьGotta Lerve the Blues.👍
ОтветитьIbanez needs more love.
ОтветитьMy blues rig is a fender mim roadhouse deluxe strat and a old vox valvetronix vt120+, channel one 2x12 amp set clean, channel two 2x12 set on edge of break up, channel three 2x12 edge of break up with the gold drive setting/pedal on, channel four 2x12 cranked with fuzz setting/pedal on and CE chorus setting/pedal on. If anyone is looking for an epic do it all amp, i would try and get one of these amps. They dont make them anymore but they pop up on ebay and reverb every now and again. These amps piss all over the boss Katana and blackstar silverline which ive owned both. Bought mine of a friend for £100 when he stopped gigging when i still had my silverline. After a day of spending time with the vox i sold the silverline. 2 banks of 4 channels. Bank A set for my strat, bank B set for my epi LP and with the footswitch no need for pedals. This amp does it all and sounds good at home as it it it has a power level setting which goes upto 200w and all the way down to zero. Seriously guys, check them out!
ОтветитьGreat demo. Thanks..
ОтветитьLove both Riggs. Great video.
ОтветитьI always loved that Rabea had less of a "seller" take on these challenges. "It's about how you feel playing it" is how everyone should approach gear buying.
ОтветитьStrat is not the definition of Blues Rabea. And then you wonder if a 335 style guitar is a blues guitar? Wow man where is your knowledge?
ОтветитьStupid question but I’m investing in a blues rig. Absolutely loving Albert king and Albert Cummings stuff at the moment. If I invest all into my amp and buy a cheaper strat can I upgrade the strat for a project later? For example if I get the strat shown in the video is the wood going to hold me back or can it sound a lot better if I upgrade it down the road in a few months?
ОтветитьThe strat for me sounded amazing . . . Beautiful sound. . .can you get that sound from humbuckers? I don't think so?
ОтветитьNice video 👍🏾
ОтветитьWhen did Darrell Braun move to England and start working for Andertons?
ОтветитьThis broke the bank in 2023 ,pedal prices are ridiculous
ОтветитьGreat to see the MXR Sugar Drive getting some love. This pedal has never left my board since I got it and I love it. Whenever Klon clones are discussed it never gets the attention it deserves. I've also got the Wampler Tumnus and the Sugar Drive is easily as good, if not better.
ОтветитьAbout 5 secs before he says "I am definitely not a blues player" I was literally thinking that Rabea was playing some sick blues for a metal player
ОтветитьCan you do the same for Country ??
Yer haw I’m in the market
This is the wrong mix for blues. You need a Les Paul type and say a Blues jr amp. For pedals a Boss Blues Driver and wah. That’s it.
ОтветитьTheir not wrong, I got a sugar drive thinking I could sound Kingfish, what one man can do, I can do! Not so much, still trying however. Convincing blues is hard, even with the right notes. The Sugar drive is excellent.
