Hey, I know Terry. I used to work as ground crew for the same company.

I'm 50 yrs old now, but I remember seeing them all the times as a kid, they were always GoodYear blimps, but I remember seeing 1-2 others that were not good year. looks like fun.

some time ago I had the opportunity to fly aboard a Zeppelin NT that was not part of the Goodyear Fleet of similar airships here in the U.S. That passenger service trip DID have a restroom aboard. With the (NT) meaning New Technology, and being larger it did not have the engines so close to the gondola. While Goodyear still only invites guests who can advance the advertising purpose, the one I rode had abilities that your "old technology" trip lacked. The engines tilted so that it could take off fairly level without using dynamic lift, and turn with the third, dual propeller system at the tail. However weight and balance considerations were much the same. Airships are like no other type of aircraft, as you found out, but they are quite limited as to when they can be flown safely, and how high. Not sure if the Zeppelin NT can easily traverse the Rocky mountains with a full load, but I know that one you rode cannot.

Sooo... Whats the world record for continuous flight without landing in a blimp/airship? If i was rich i'd probably buy one, outfit it as a living space and just cruise around going for such record (i'm thinking 6 month to a year to start), resupplying via ropes off of roofs of high-rise buildings (catching the baskets with supplies with a skyhook and bringing them up) or via cargo drones flying inside the cargo bay on my airship/blimp. Naturally, the blimp/airship would have to be solar electric and have a system to condense water out of the air for drinking and sanitation. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Blimp/airship travel can be great for overnight/sleeper. Its not a problem that a 1 hour plane flight takes 8 hours if you're sleeping those 8 hours and you get to save on a hotel bed.

saw this exact blimp a few months ago when it flew to my hometown! while driving down the road to the airport where it had landed, it took a few seconds of looking to realize that the sky ahead was in fact, not the sky when i noticed the massive tailfin sticking out of it. was insanely cool to see!

The Englishman pilot did not want to answer any questions. It was funny when the friendly pilot later said “I can’t speak for these other guys, but my favorite part is showing people for the first time.”

I want wifi gourmet dinner a drink and sleeper cabin… then I’d be happy spending days going on vacay to destination rather then a few hours in an uncomfortable plane seat

4 tail rudders? NOT! i guess you learned nothing about the airship while you were flying in it!! It has 2 rudders, vertical, and 2 elevators horizontal. Bad video.
