as a 2013 model s p85 (non D model) owner, this is very interesting to watch
ОтветитьTY, Rico dont blow Mutiplus from Victron, 😁...
Ответитьit is very dangerous to put all batteries together, veryly likely burning explode
ОтветитьBro come back son 😢
Ответить1 khối pin cũ này bạn mua gết bảo tiền
ОтветитьWhy connecting neutral to terminal first? Shouldn't be positive as first?
ОтветитьAre those gloves rated ? Where do I get them from ?
Ответитьno cooling?
ОтветитьLiIon instead lifepo. Wooden shield, instead of metal. Oh yeah )
ОтветитьYoung man, your are an incredible orator, with a fantastic knack for self-sufficient energy adoption. Your video is not only inspiring but, perfectly informative, and fun! Well done buddy. Planning on a similar project, and super excited that by using the Tesla cells, you have already broke down the correct format and use case. There are always going to be critics along the way, but you already know this lol. There will be no limit to what you will ultimately, and undoubtedly, venture to achieve on your journey. Awesome video, keep it up!
Ответитьimagine how many could have died trying this at home
Ответить“succsess” - whoops. Great job tho on the install!
ОтветитьWasn't it easier to just put the whole battery as it was, next to the wall and connect it to the system?
ОтветитьHopefully, those are older cells.
Tesla does not make batteriea they source them from the actual manufacturers
The newer batteries used in Teslas have less of a safe thermal band than previous models.l
Not really an issue as installed in a Tesla, as there is quite detailed monitoring and active coolingnfor them.
When you shuck them and remove those protections, you are increasing the chance of thermal runaway.
Why not use the battery in the case?
ОтветитьNot sure I would do this. Batteries are stack next together without cooling. Fire hazard risk is too high to do it like this. In their original seal pack separated from each other liquid coolen, fire was still able to burn down a metal car. Video show a wooden container box with batteries compact together. I can see bad thing could happen if one cell get fry causing a chain reaction. I would separate each unit by a least 6" in well ventilated metal box outside away from the house.
ОтветитьI still cannot believe how, because its DC power, everyone thinks its ok to leave huge terminals exposed.
ОтветитьThe work you have done is great. I have been struggling with getting an electrician in to get my inverter connected to my home. Is there any possibility you might be able to send me a list of bits I need and how to do it please?
ОтветитьHi , I am very impressed with the quality of the work and the enthusiasm that you have shown .. I would worry about the cells going on fire. I would like to see the batteries build into a metal enclosure and away from the main house for safety. It would be great to see somebody take the original battery enclosure and modify it and fit it as it is like a fire wall only larger.
Ответитьwhy not leave in chassis and ceiling mount on steel frame?...or wall mount?
Ответитьwhy not use the battery whole without disassembling
ОтветитьPurchase costs with huge markups, exorbitant installation costs, maintenance/repairs, and then battery replacement costs. I'm not sure this will pay off even in the long run, but it's a sure thing that it will take a decade or two for the average homeowner to see any real savings.
ОтветитьAre you based in Japan? Didn’t have any clue until I saw the pallet of グラウトミックス 😂💪
ОтветитьTo my mind Tesla batteries need to be modular whereby you can slide the old battery out and slide the replacement in. The old batteries can then be sent back to Tesla for reconditioning. In modern technology simplicity has to be key.
Ответитьlets put up a video and not talk
ОтветитьOem surron or segway batterys selled used are aprox 120$ per kwh
Ответить4k and 24 FPS?!! Video is trash!!!
24 FPS! So stupid decision!
Couldn't we use it as is and not disassemble it?
ОтветитьWhat about cooling of the batteries? You do not have a cooling loop and Li-Ion batteries can get rather warm if being charged or discharged.
Ответитьcells must lay horizontal not vertical.
ОтветитьAwesome!👍
ОтветитьCool video
ОтветитьAwesome job!
ОтветитьWhy not use battery with case and coolant?
ОтветитьThat battery pack is for a Telsa car.
ОтветитьPretty darn dangerous how you fitted the packs with the daisy chained leads - could have easily shorted something out and would have been a big boom boom before you even got the chance to get up off the floor. Other than that - nice rig!
ОтветитьInteresting -- QUESTION -- Can you produce a system that would permit an easy insertion of an additional Tesla battery pack to the system. Sort of like adding an addition drive to a (Synology) server ie you get the drive and slide it inoto a drive bay. Could a system be created like that so we could insert battery packs to the battery bank? What would it take? (can we swap emails)
Ответитьdid there batteries come from Singapore chop chop forced export of good usable cars due to their age??? nice battery. please get some type fire suppression system. The show where geeky cool tech heads meets the old dirty hazmat firefighters is not a good show to watch...be careful and thanks for the video.
ОтветитьCHINA SPION BATARY OF TESLA:)))
ОтветитьHi friend I also made a 24kw 18650 wall
Curious what you have set as parameters in the inverter
such as Bulk Voltage
float
Network return
Voltage Cut Off
My settings are these
For a wall of 18650 2A parallel 15 series 270
P26 Bulk 60.5V /15 4.033V
P27 Float 59.5V /15 3.96V
I don't know if FLOAT and BULK must be equal value in LiIon ?
P13 Return to discharge voltage 50V 3.33V
P29 Cut Off Return to Enel 50V /15 3.33V
Then in case the BMS or Inverter goes crazy
I always have SRV1000 and DRY Contat A30 as security
Setting SRV1000 and A30 and BMS Daly
V-Max=62 V-Min=48 5s delay 2V delta
2lbs all it takes!
Ответитьwhat a dumb vehicle the Tesla is
ОтветитьFYI, saw a lot of comments asking why not use it as-is, you gave a good answer about the inverters, but there is an inverter that you can get second hand pretty cheap that supports up to 450vdc - Solaredge hub. maybe on your next adventure you will consider it :P
That's what i'm gonna use
I found something interested here. I like your efforts. And thank you for sharing :)
