what about using alt button to FORCE a ground attack, when a crawler and a shambler/fast shambler are nearby. or the shift key... holding shift when standing up makes you stand up way faster. holding shift and pressing E, open/closes curtains instead of right clicking. shift when switching seats, enables faster moving, and the option to directly get out of a vehicle, which is great if you happen to get near surrounded, can fast switch and auto exit out the door with the least zombies, lowering chances of getting bitten, if you are sprinting as you exit. (which is likely as you need to hold shift, to get the extra options for "seat switching" to add the exit out this door option) or using alt to run instead of sprint. run a little faster than "shift running" but at greatly increased endurance loss, and calorie burn. (a good option when you take obese)

I love this game, This is how runescape mechanics should have evolved. Alot is RNG based but skill aswell. Inventory management could be easier if category were grouped and u click to expand but further then that. Its a must buy game.

When dealing with a horde on my base I pre dig the graves and then lure the zeds to the graves so that I won't have to haul them long distance after likking them

I may have them wrong or messed up but the quick keys for the vehicles options are

F = lights on/off

O = Ac

Z = menu to swap seats

U = leave vehicle and go to hood

Shift + W = increase/start cruise control

Shift + S = slow cruise speed

S = stop cruise control

bullshit clickbait there is nothing hidden about it , its the same like you need a can opener for caned food its just a game feature you naturally learn about .... hidden in my ass

one small detail that I'd like to point out is that, if you press shift (can't exactly remember) while in a car, you can keep that at a constant speed. Useful for if you're injured and don't want to go fast

Some things I learned from the stupid shit I have made:
1.: if your car dashboard says the trunk is unlocked, but you still can't access it: press 'e' in front of the trunk to open it first...
2.: if you leave the the trunk open, stuff can fall out if you crash
3.: glass bottles can hold gasoline, but you can't fill gas tanks on the cars with them
4.: normal lightbulbs can be used to replace car head- and tail lights.
5.: If you use sheets to cover up windows, don't forget to cover up the doors too!
6.: always leave pots and saucepans out in the rain, always put your raw food in the contaminated water: the cooking will take away the negative effects
7.: skill books can be used to light fires - just make sure you already read them first
8.: poisonous mushrooms and berries can be used for making compost, having no negative effects on the compost itself
9.: You can make a tinfoil hat from aluminum or a newspaper hat from newspapers
10.: if you have items that you want to get rid of: put them on corpse inventories, they will decay together with the body
11.: not just the trunk, but the seats and glove compartment can be used to store items in the cars
12.: you can put any radio in any car
13.: Alcohol has a lot of calories. Make sure you take note of that if you want gain or lose weight.
14.: This one's disgusting, but useful: you can collect maggots from decaying corpses to use them as bait for trapping and fishing.

200 hours and this is the first time im hearing about stashes

how do you pick up and move things? ive been looking into this for weeks but cant find out how to do ti. there is no pick up option when i right click items such as a fridge or microwave. you say it can be done but you dont explain how lol. i paused your video when you right click to look at your options and again you dont have the option to pick up.....

Something I noticed during playing with a friend after cleaning the secret military base was cleaning blood from the floors and walls can help with your characters depressed state, I completely lost my severely depressed debuff doing this while my friend kept his state while doing other stuff in the area

This game has so much depth, I've been so proud of stuff like finding out you can unlock trunks in cars and figuring out how to make splints if you break your leg from carrying to much but there's just so many crazy things you could do I would never even think to try

Some I know of:
Opening the window of your car with the radial menu allows you to attack with any weapon out the window. You can pick off zombies and level up aiming in perfect safety. Beware that you can be attacked when the window is open, and when aiming you cannot control the car
Missed an episode of woodcraft? Well don't worry. You can find VHS tapes of all the episodes, and even exclusive tapes like Carzone, which levels up mechanics. The Muldraugh VHS shop is right on the edge of town and is filled with tapes
If you place a rain barrel above a sink and plumb it with a pipe wrench, you can use the sink, with no purifying necessary. It might even work with washing machines, although IDK for certain
When you kill a zombie in a building or near a vehicle, it can drop a key. Very useful for storage units, police stations and armouries
If you place a generator near a petrol pump, you get infinite petrol (as long as you set petrol pumps to have infinite petrol
Police cars tend to have guns and ammo in the boot. Easier than looting a building
Emergency vehicles, apart from having lights, also have 2 way radios and higher engine power compared to their civilian counterparts
Dismantling car wrecks (such as in the pile up near Muldraugh) are one of the best ways of leveling up metalworking
Helicopters will follow you around until you go into a forest or building
When holding an axe, selecting "cut down tree" will highlight all tiles with trees near your cursor, useful for navigating forests
Putting fruit in a bowl before eating it can reduce your unhappiness
Cutting bushes, which can be found outside some houses, or grow throughout the world after time, with any knife can give tree branches, good for crafting stone axes. Also, foraging on roads increases your chance of finding stones

what we need is a flood event where it rains for 2 in game days and it would be flooded to your ankles where it reduces both player and zed movement and makes you easier to detect unless you have lightfooted or sneaking high, also if you open a house door it will flood a house and you will have to use a bucket to get it out.

Shoving while having your mouse at the edge of the screen will cause your screen to pan in that direction momentarily, just like holding the RMB and looking with the mouse. Warning: don't do this while shoving zombies, it will get you bit.

One thing I found out that isnt game changing by any means, but you can quickly turn your watch alarm on and off by just clicking to the right of the time display where the little bell icon is. Previously I was always turning on the alarm by right clicking the watch and manually turning it on and off.

If you want to tow a car but the car in the front is too weak, try towing the other way around. Most cars have far more torque in the reverse gear.

If you get bitten and infected, you can drink bleach to stop your body from turning into a zombie and wandering away.

I havent seen this mentioned yet but holding alt while starting a vehicle will make it go faster its great for escaping hordes
Extremely useful for driving basically dead vehicles as you can use the momemtum and keep starting it to keep it going

Cruise control can eat at your fuel - I drove at 5mph for about 5mins to get a horde away from where I wanted to go... seriously the fastest quarter-tank I ever seen gone. The RPMs just sit too high. Same goes for towing in a way - I was in a Horizon towing a Horizon, hits the 2nd gear (when first gear was the best), had high gears in first to a low second... dragginggggggggg

If you have an empty cooking pot, and you're near any source of water, you have unlimited water. Just make sure to boil it.

You also do not have to boil water if you are cooking it. If you make a soup or stew with tainted water, it's perfectly fine if you are still going to cook it. The bacteria will be cooked out 100% before the soup/stew is ready anyways, so it saves a step (along with time and fuel).

Thanks MAD! The zombie outline feature during combat was a game changer for me. I kept dying because of the isometric view was difficult. I kept missing zombies and would get bitten or scratched, then die. Once I turned on that outline, no more problems.

Sheet ropes can soak up water during rain. It is a measly 1 unit (10% of a regular bottle), but every little bit helps, especially if water gets cut off very early. I discovered this while messing around with my escape window during rain.
