Really good feature wise and I have gotten responses fast via mail (day after). The first year is cheap and you get a price for the second year and in my case it was 79 dollars but now when I have 17 days left until second year begins I recieved a mail stating the expenses has been higher then they had estimated so have to rise the subscription fee to 99 dollars.
So I was thinking that I update my subscription to a cheaper plan but they have hidden that option for me to see when Im logged in but I can see it when not logged in so I know the plan is there :) Ok so I thought, I open another account and did that but couldn't pay with my Master card probably cause its registered to my first account and I cant remove my card from the first account so its kinda bad. Now Im looking for another solution.

Mauricio, is there a back up service that'll let you, God forbid you need it, recover around 2TB of stuff in a very SHORT amount of time?

Don't use!

I paid for 100GB upload and their system struggled letting me upload 45GB. For months they asked me to try again and again, always claiming they made changes. It simply would not work. During that time the fees piled up.
I asked for a refund as it never worked and they offered me $2.50 refund!

In my opinion this is a scam - stay clear everybody!
Spread the word, nobody should have to pay for a service that is not being provided!

Interestingly, it looks like there is actually an option to share your files with others. However that's turned off when you activate 0 knowledge encryption. Looks like you have to pick one or the other. (I'm not sure how others get around it, if it's at all possible).

Warning to Mac users... iDrive indexes files according to PC standards, which is different than Mac OS. So in critical pieces of medata that one comonly uses to confirm the completion of a backup - total number of files and total file size - iDrive Online will NEVER match what MacOS or even iDrive Mac Desktop app say. I have spent a few weeks with iDrive tech support coming to this realization. So unless you try to restore your data, you truly don't have piece of mind that your data is fully backed up with iDrive as a Mac user, simply based on the numbers! iDrive seemed to indicate in emails and phone call that they may consider making this fix to their UI for Mac users, but it's a BIG blind spot Mac users won't know about. Also, they stodd me up on an appointment for customer support, and they can be slow in email support as well. Price can't be beat but Mac users, exercise caution.

I jumped right in and soon jumped right out. I simply could not get it to work the way they promised it would. Desktop app froze up continuously and could not back up anything from an external drive. The web app not much better, could not show my computer and would just keep on loading and loading (those rectangular blocks) - and after a long wait I gave up. Cancelled and deleted the app from my computer (fortunately no big loss - signed up for the special $7.95 for one year, which I have cancelled). I am amazed how the so-called reliable computer/tech online magazines give this a "this is the best" rating". I have now purchased additional OneDrive space (tied into Windows for work and other reasons) and it is so much easier.

The review here is bad in my opinion because it says the speed is fast but the reviews from many people in the comments is that it's very slow. Sorry, this is not a good review. You should not test it yourself. You should have other people test the speed. Your location could be a factor.

To back up an entire OS you need according to the company "Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows 2008 Server, Windows 2012 Server, Windows 2016 Server, Windows 2019 Server". Mac and Linux are not supported. To me that amounts to very little flexibility. Great review as always Mauricio!

Great video as always Mauricio! I'm a little bit puzzled anyway... I'm looking for a cloud backup service, zero knowledge, working in the background saving everything to the cloud, at least 30 day history (for ramsomware) and if possible a sync folder so I can at last have my phone synced with mi PC… looks like iDrive ticks all the checks for me until I see the users reviews… both in internet as well as in your own website… People really advise against this service… I’m puzzled and don’t know what to believe :/

I kinda regret signing in with them. Their website is rarely up making it a problem when accessing files from a different computer.

iDrive is crap and INCREDIBLY SLOW. It is not at all fast.
