I appreciate you explaining the theory so well. I'm working on making a common anode display in the shape of a trapezoidal prism, so the theory is important for me to accurately translate the necessary concepts. I'd love to take a look at the code you used, haven't done much coding before so that part is going to be fun to bang my head on for a while.

I want to make a led(100+) strip with addressable led control using arduino or esp32!
I like the video, and the project, but it shows how much electronics you need to drive these RGB LEDs.
And this is a smaller cube, a 4x4x4.
This is why I have decided to go with individually addressable RGB LEDs (ws2812 or equivalent).
All they need is 5 volts, and a single signal input wire, which just then goes out of the LED to the next one's input.
You can then use a publicly available library, e.g. FastLed, to drive your LEDs.
Great project and easily explained!
