What can you do about the body roll? Lower it .5?

I have an NB1. The steering is a major plus, it is the best steering I have had in 56 years of driving. Your left elbow issue on turning left ? .... it is your steering technique, don't blame the internal design. I have no problem. Try the push/pull technique of steering ... it gives you much better control because your hands remain close to the horizontal instead of rotating around all over the place.

My son had to choose between this or a Toyota GT86 (Redline Edition), and I’m glad he bought the Toyota.

you are too big for the car. elbows are too long. as an 165cm tall asain this car is like moulded for us!

It is not a "Fast Back".
Look up the qualities that make a fast back and this does not fit that definition.
Fast back has a rear that blends right to the edge without a flat spot. The RF has that flat spot tail which is actually the same as on the regular convertible.
Mazda created that misinformation (every media test driver was told to mention it is a "fast back") so as to blunt the "Targa look" tag which it actually has.
The RF looks like the Honda CRX/Del Sol and the Del Sol was never called a fast back.

Mum had an earlier one in the late 90s, probably a Eunos Roadster. Anyways, it was manual with a stiff gearbox but great fun on U turns. “Turn on a dime is correct.” Mum accidentally did a 360 in it.

Nice video, you might want to revisit the current 2021 model, it could solve a lot of your criticisms about it lacking standard features in the car your drove...now has Bose speakers in the headrests, parking sensors and more.

I absolutely adore the look of this car, is so clean and fresh, yet still has an aggressive ninja look to it!

This guy misses the point of the mx5. He also seems to be a bit dumb as the cupholder would be perfectly fine for a coffee as the coffee is light and the holder would hold it in place. Moving the cupholder with a heavy hand will of course make the holder move...he doesnt get physics im guessing

I have short listed the MX5 2.0.

I drove the soft top and the hard top version and ended up buying the soft top. Hard top has very limited over the shoulder vision and as far as the non electric top function, it is about 3 seconds to fully open or close the top manually with ergonomically placed latches and handles that make it quite simple and convenient. He mentions the wait time and "don't try this at a traffic light" but I like that if it starts to rain, I can generally have the top up practically before the second raindrop hits. My 2021 replaces my VERY well driven 1999 and I couldn't be happier!

I really like the Porsche Boxster but I love the Miata! Why? Because it’s as much fun or more and it’s so affordable!!! The Boxster is twice or three times the price, depending on trim and engine choice. When you consider the maintenance, repair costs and insurance you have a truly expensive proposition. Meanwhile the Miata especially used without a warranties practically free in comparison! It’s an incredible bargain and more bang for your hard earned bucks.

i own a 2019 mx-5 converitible club with bilstien shocks/brembo brakes/bbs wheels / skirts all around? package, i think the seats are recaro but they left the recaro name off. anyhow, when i drive freeway speeds with windows down or the top down, i use ear plugs as i like to enjoy the drive and just leave the radio off, i don't race it, and i drive it conservatively thru the backroads ,it has about 30k miles since i bought it. the red/ candy apple red paint is the best, but the paint chips easily so i stay away from trucks and it's not safe anyway to be around them things. also, the low profiles make for a bumpy ride , and i pretty much know where all the bumps and potholes are on the roads i drive. i also drive the speed limit as much as possible (65mph) as a gallon of premium gas in california is $4.37 as of right now. i sold my 2018 subaru legacy sedan flat 6 fully loaded to buy the miata, cause the subaru was without a soul.

Base model ? Is it worth it than next level model ?

Manually opening and closing the soft top takes about 4-5 seconds. Quicker than a automated system and saves weight
