my little town in Iowa seems to get more than its share of wind and the power well go off for maybe 5 minutes, but the AC stops cooling and I go out side to check the AC unit and find its making a horrible loud humming sound, the local HVAC guy says it cause of preusre in the system and we need a time on the power to keep the compresor from coming on to soon after a black out, I have never heard of such a thing

The other thing is, if you don’t know the answer DON’T give them a line of BS. I been doing this 40 years and I just tell them I will have to get back to you with the information. If you lie to them and loose that level of trust you might as well stay home.

This is something I need to remember, normally I clean after myself during a service call but when my mind is fried and I just want to go home, I sometimes 1/2 ass some shit and leave a mess.

There are a lot of dishonest crooks in the HVAC field. That will try to sell you a new unit, when only a single component has failed.👎

Out of high school when I was in construction. My contractor boss took me around with him often or do things one day we went to a different construction sites he stopped far away hike through the woods and trees to look at his workers from a distance to catch the ones that would just be smoking or doing something else other than working while he was paying them hourly .
I was only 17 I already knew the importance to work I was never lazy and this boss part is the importance of how every penny on a job even nails nuts bolts and screws wasted by employees on every job add up to money. A LOT of money When you multiply it for every employee

Service techs love to complain about those horrible HELICOPTERS instead of showing off how good they are!
