For those following the GR Supra build and noticed that we now have a 6 exhaust port cylinder head instead of the 2 port with integrated exhaust manifold: The 2021 GR Supra A91 now has 382 HP and a revised cylinder head with 6 exhaust ports. Once we went with this new cylinder head we needed to make a new turbo header.
ОтветитьLove 3D printing, but unless he has a sponsor that printed the manifold for free, 3D printing metal manifolds are still in the $15K plus range each. I know because I just got a manifold quoted for my project. Its crazy prices. guess he likes to waste his money because there is nothing special about that design that cant be weld fabricated for under $2000 with high temp stainless. Investment lost foam casting is also a great choice for a fraction of the cost. Or use weld up steel and ceramic coat it.
Ответитьmasterwork manifold, all that tech and work only to be trashed on drift events, what a waste
ОтветитьFuuuuuckin wow. ❤
ОтветитьHuh? bent tungsten? what kinda wolfram are you guys using? I want that too!
ОтветитьIs there any CFD simualtion works on how you want the manifold to look like? Or it is good as far as it is compact enough to fit in there and the flow is something by experience?
Ответить-What was the budget for your mainfold?
-Yes.
Love this design video
Ответитьthis is so cool to see. im going to school for drafting and design and hope to land a job like this when im done.
ОтветитьThank you very best ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThis is cheating, I like it.
ОтветитьSo what im getting from this is, there's no way to ensure you have the exclusive access/ownership of the IP seeing that it is processed via an external platform....
Is there any way to compete the design process completely independently? Ie; NOT through the cloud based software.
Some guys get to have all the fun.............I'd love to put it to good use for a Delorean to see what can really do for an odd fire V6.
ОтветитьWow this stuff is nuts.. adding that $70K scanning arm to my Christmas list lol
ОтветитьAwesome
Ответитьhow much did that prniting?
ОтветитьReally, only 382 forces? Or added 382 hp. With such a turbine, you can remove more than 1000 forces.
Ответитьhow did you clean up the welds inside of the maniforld? inconel 625 can get seriously hard as it workhardens.
ОтветитьYou should use abrasive flow machining for the manifolds.
ОтветитьI would have put this inside a vacuum chamber and backfilled it with argon to avoid any porosity in the welds. Only way to see this is to x-ray the material. These porous areas could cause problems at very high temps.
ОтветитьYou guys do know that chopping the throttle at high revs is bad for the engine? The sudden loss of pressure above the pistons puts more stretch on the con-rods.
ОтветитьThat exhaust manifold is wonderful but it needs support struts and brackets. Otherwise the tubes will crack.
Ответитьthis is amazing
ОтветитьAn intake for the 4.2L Vortec would be something to see....
Ответитьcan I now the cost and time between normal manufacturing of this and AM
it's for academic projet pls 🙏
Loool that engine bay is 50% tubing
Ответитьhow much did the inconel powder cost to print this?
ОтветитьThe state of California is ruined!! I feel sorry for the business out there!!
ОтветитьAnd 2 years later the cult of climate change is putting an end to the aftermarket industry, just when some game changing tech was becoming available for the average person
ОтветитьI'm really excited for this kind of stuff and I'm looking forward to when these tools become more affordable and available on the market for regular consumers. Hobbyists and car enthusiasts especially don't have to spend so much time and money on parts they need if they can just make the parts themselves
ОтветитьVery very cool!!
ОтветитьWhere can i purchase this printer from 500
ОтветитьAfter all that. You did not use it ? Let's build a rocket.
ОтветитьLooks simple enough
Ответитьthis is absolutely cool~🤣
ОтветитьStephen!! Good engineering progress!! Keep.going like this!!! Its pleasure to eatch your videos!!!
ОтветитьGreetings from Greece !!! Very nice job!!!
ОтветитьVery nice, thanks :)
Those machine are around 990k and above
ОтветитьCRANKSHAFTS PISTONS SUCK SEE VIDEO FOR 1000HP WANKEL!!!!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this and job well done for you and your shop!!!! Absolutely mind blowing technology.
ОтветитьHe sprays "Special Compoind" YOu mean dry shampoo xD
ОтветитьSooo, can you print an entire head and block?
Ответить
