Is this scam?
Ответитьit works, I saw it at my in-laws, and as an all season composter myself, I was pretty impressed by the material it produced out of random kitchen scraps
ОтветитьYou cannot stop anything from being composted unless you spent some time and energy I suppose you could.
ОтветитьRed wigglers' worms will do the trick
ОтветитьWhy did you throw the rest of the dirt in the garbage? 😀
ОтветитьPlease test full steaks, plastic cutlery and human hair. Thanks
ОтветитьLost me at $499……
ОтветитьDon't buy it people. Do your research and you will discover it is a major waste in more ways than one.
ОтветитьThat's not soil, that's dehydrated uncomposted vegetable bits. You even have to chop the vegetables up pretty small yourself for the machine to be able to handle it.
ОтветитьSounds a lot more like a advertisement for Lomi.
Ответитьi stopped watching after hearing you need to buy filters and pods every 3-6 months.
Edit: Ok, I came back after seeing how inconvenient other methods are.
It's not a composter.
ОтветитьHam?? I don’t think you can compost ham. But maybe I’m wrong.
ОтветитьYes, show us if the other plastics break down
ОтветитьI always heard not to compost meat because of bacteria that could spread to plants
ОтветитьIf something has started to mold can it be used in the grow mode?
Ответитьthe amount of electricity used to compost is definitely not carbon foot print efficient
ОтветитьYou threw some in the trash 😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьSo this is the same as food dehydrator?
Just more expensive.
Fantastic idea but there’s no way I’m dropping $500+ on it.
ОтветитьNo, it doesn’t.
Ответитьwhat a load of crap...just throw the scraps in a bin or something...and wont cost hundreds of dollars
ОтветитьYou can achieve the same results with a breadmaker
ОтветитьCalifornia passed a law requiring all garbage companies to offer organic food pickup. They do it all for us and is included in our service and purchasing this machine would not be cost effective. No machines to purchase, no charcoal filters or tablets to put in each load, no increased electric costs. I live in rural Northern California and read several posts about this machine not making compost but a more of a dehydrated and grinded mixture. It was said that putting this mixture into plants and the ground outside attracts possums, racoons, feral cats and mice. No thanks!!!!! Have a great day!
ОтветитьLol, I love how he threw the leftover soil in the garbage. 🤣
ОтветитьI have one. Its awful. Loud and stinks. Expensive and gimmicky
ОтветитьThanks for posting this video. For $499 and then on top of a subscription fee? I will definitely not buy this.
ОтветитьWow $500 for a compost device that does not actually compost but instead just dehydrats and grinds up old food that a $30 bread maker does plus a $50 monthly subscription. On top of that it isn't eco friendly at all as it takes alot of power. Yep not surprised some idiot repoter on the mews fell for this.
ОтветитьAre you supposed to dump the charcoal into the filter area or are you supposed to just toss the whole bag into that area reducing any mess like what happened when you first loaded it
ОтветитьI think there's a lot of confusion in saying that you can't use it for mulch.... yes thats true, but why not say you can use it as compost? and why do you throw it in your trash!??that's just going to the landfill
ОтветитьCome on CNET you of all companies should be warning people when something is a clear SCAM!!!
ОтветитьDon't waste your money. My Lomi is less than 2 years old. They won't offer any type of assistance as they said it's out of warranty and nothing they could do. I would be willing to by a replacement part (heating element stopped working), but after several hours hours of being on hold, sending videos, speaking to customer service they were of no help so basically wasted $500 on the product. Will definitely tell my friends, co-workers, etc. to steer clear of any products by Pela as overall experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Wish I could compost the device itself as it's a piece of crap and the company doesn't back it's product as their only suggestion/solution to the issue was to buy a new one!
ОтветитьWaste of electricity. Just have a compost bin in the backyard.
ОтветитьWhat a scam. This does not produce compost. It vastly increases your carbon footprint. Thunderfoot says hi
Ответитьunder no circumstances buy this piece of garbage
Ответить...but its <<<<$500>>>> uses ELECTRICITY and REQUIRED an APP. Silly. Defeats the purpose to save cost and be healthy.
ОтветитьIt doesn't make soil or compost. It's just a food dehydrator combine with a shredder - and a testament to how little people know about science.
ОтветитьWhat a scam. Essentially a food dehydrator/grinder combo. Save your counter space and just be less wasteful.
ОтветитьThat is neither soil nor fertilizer at that point.
Ответить100% scam
Ответитьwhy do you need to use the carbon?
ОтветитьGreat video
Ответитьif you are using electricity and and making a high tech like metal appliance like this you are not reducing your carbon footprint.
ОтветитьThen you water your plants and suddenly mold starts to grow, your plant stinks and the soil goes anaerobic.
ОтветитьAll colleges educated and big banks for hundred years did not had this long time ago then why ? I proposed this ten years and no restaurants want it and even conficate my bank account so i cannot succeed in green industry and yoh tell me no conspiracy
ОтветитьCan we invent the machine which can be fixed in the toilet to turn human dung into odourless soil within seconds (which removes smell and bacteria within seconds). Which could be economical and cheapest.
ОтветитьThis along reduce 40% illness world wide but beautidul wimen made men stupid for past 2000 years did not think
ОтветитьI just purchased a Lomi. Great video.
ОтветитьIt's a scam!
They sell a slightly modified cheap bread maker and pass it on as a composted.
You will auto join a pqid subscription that is almost impossible to cancel.
And it will probably break around 2-3 months later.
Why is the compost going into the trash bin? That right there killed the entire purpose for this expensive composter for me.
