These say dimmable. What do you need to do to make them work? I install and they wont dim. Frustrating. Thx
ОтветитьSpetacular
Trabajo mister
Not anymore theh have candless now no wire no climbing in the attic
ОтветитьFalse. I have had cans installed the entire upper floor of my condo. You guessed it, I have an upstairs neighbor.
ОтветитьWhere's your dust bowl from? Looks nice compared to the klein or rackatiers
ОтветитьGreat explanations along the way. Also nice to be informed of the exact Halo and Lutron products so we can but the exact ones.
ОтветитьIt's a VERY nice video. Excellent information also.
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic video. Answered all of my questions. Subscribed.
ОтветитьExcellent video!
ОтветитьAlways love your videos. FYI: I just bought the 4" versions and those instructions said the power supply needs a minimum of 3" clearance from insulation. Light are rated IC. Otherwise another good video.
ОтветитьUse a right angle drill bit attachment to get under the duct.
ОтветитьI did all the recess lighting in all my downstairs rooms without attic access. You just need to get 3/4 ,54inch flex bit. I can't belive he said he cut someone's floor open to do it. They literally sell these bits at all the major hardware stores just for this reason. They even have a hole on the shaft to pull the wire through.
ОтветитьLove the energy between you and your son!!! Great content and always informative!! Keep it coming!!
ОтветитьThere’s only one led drive so if that driver fails all the lights fail
ОтветитьHello! Awesome video. If you have a 3 way / pole switch video, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
ОтветитьHey can you show us that switch with the 3 WAY please!!!
ОтветитьPaul - Here's a tip that I use. I drill a pilot hole before using the hole saw. It's easy to locate the hole saw bit in the pilot hole and keeps the hole saw from accidently wandering.if the hole saw is slightly tipped.
ОтветитьHoLE-E-SHIT- THIS badass can drill a HOLE
ОтветитьPardon me, but does that "hand wired connection" justify a "class A" hot wiring to the insurance company? Not trying to break your balls here, rather wanting to DIY at my own place.
ОтветитьCan you have a three way switch with this system?
ОтветитьSo these are low voltage. I assume that means they draw more amps?
I have a 15a circuit but am doing the math…I’m not sure what voltage they draw after the converter but if it’s 12V, then you’re pushing it with two sets of these on one circuit.
Excellent presentation. I like that the photographer chimes in with his questions/observations and you then elaborate. I learned a lot. Well done.
ОтветитьCan you leave the power supply box laying on top of the insulation or does it have to be attached to a joist to be safe?
ОтветитьNice1..Stud & thank u
ОтветитьAnother way to find your hot is to take the plugs out (while breaker is off) and then you can turn on the breaker with the switches out and you can grab your light stick and find the hot wire. Your returns (or switch legs) should not have power going through them until you flip the switch. Boom you just found your returns and the hot from the panel.
ОтветитьGreat video BTW. I bought the exact lights and dimmers you used. I hired an electrician to install everything. From the moment he turned on the LED lights, they flickered. Very embarrassing when guests come over. The flickering eventually stops by positioning the dimmer control at a "half-way down" position. I am told this is because of the Halo lights. Any suggestions for fixing this flickering problem?
ОтветитьHey stud pack why do y’all not use automatic wire strippers to make it a lot faster and to get out of the attic sooner
ОтветитьI installed the 6” version of these lights in my kitchen and set them on the 5000k setting. However, when i put the dimmer switch on it would not dim and would flicker even after using the adjustment lever. Do the lights need to be at the lower 3000 or 3500k level in order to properly dim?
ОтветитьDonde puedo agarrar esa herramienta para hacer los hoyos
ОтветитьDo they make that type of lighting for 1” think stucco ceiling besides of the 1/2 drywall
ОтветитьSuch a scary start to this video to scare away beginners. Wow!
I just replaced a kitchen light and did not have to climb into the attic. I came here because the wires on my Recessed light had a new clip preattached to the wire and I need to learn how to connect my wires to it without burning down the house. While I had to cut some of the ceiling away, I'm not having to climb under my daughter's bunk bed to rip away carpet to access wiring.
The biggest problem with these or any other LED Light systems similar to these... when one of the individual light "assemblies" fail. You can't replace a bulb, you have to replace the entire fixture and then, only if you're lucky enough to find an exact match. NET: The color of the light emitted may not match others lights already installed. The problem is, buying a replacement assembly does not guarantee the color of the light output will match of the original lights installed. Back when I did my original purchase and install the fixtures were identified as being 2700K fixtures but the same model number today, from the same manufacturer they are now identified as 3000K (NET: a completely different color)
Ответить"Hey, want to collaborate?"
ОтветитьDo you have a Halo Recessed Light video for a three way switch? Title?
Ответитьyou did show how to put light up there
ОтветитьWhat about vapor barrier? How to deal with it?
ОтветитьHow would this work without access to the attic
ОтветитьBut you did still have to get into the attic… This was very misleading
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьThanks for the full explanation of how to install the wafer lighting You make the best DIY videos.
ОтветитьHeads up to anyone using these, according to the manufacturer the fixtures are IC rated but the power supply is NON-IC rated. So keep it away from insulation(fictures cannot be used with direct contact to spray foam insulation of course).
ОтветитьI thought I was the only one that dropped screws in insulation
ОтветитьHow much?
ОтветитьThere are ins and outs in the junction box is that to add more box’s or 3 way switch?
ОтветитьLove all Y'all 🙏
ОтветитьInstalled this same exact Halo quick link. Removed existing fixture replaced with 6 recessed lights. The j-box gets really hot. Is there something wrong with my wiring. I only had black and white wire.
ОтветитьI love this channel.
ОтветитьHow would you wire this in a small house that runs mostly on 12v? I'd rather not have to convert 12v to 120 if I don't need to.
ОтветитьWhat happens if one of the led light fixture fails? Do you have to replace all four?
Ответить
