1080p & 1440p on a 4K monitor looks like?

It’s because you stretch the pixels to fit into a 4k resolution. There’s less pixels on a 1080p so that getting stretched is going to cause issues

Hello, thanks for the video and i have a question, i'll be glad if you answer. I used to play games on a 1080p TV, but yesterday i bought a 4K and 55 inch TV. The problem is that it looks way worse than the previous one when i play at 1080p resolution. Is it because the TV's resolution is 3840x2160? From what i see, there is no way to lower the TV's res. Is there any solution for that? Or do i need to buy a 1080p monitor

I am using a 27 -inch 4K screen, and 27 inch 1080, obviously I play GTA V 1080 game on 4K, it is very bad and fuzzy compared to the original screen 1080, I think it is reduced to 1080 from the 4K screen , but just "to make it", it is absolutely not possible to be beautiful 1080

This is why being a gamer over 50 is great. My vision is dogsh1t anyway and so is my reaction time. I can't see any difference between 1080p upscaled and native and there is no way I can tell the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz and 240Hz? Forget about it. I'll just buy a 4K monitor and upscale it till video cards get cheaper. And I'll run it at 60Hz just to piss people off.

have you tried integer scaling or borderless window tricks,.. basically mapps 1:4 ,.. add some AA and zou are pretty crisp,..

but using 2k on a 27inch 4k monitor should still look good right ?

Is there any difference between changing the resolution only within the game itself, or setting everything (windows) to 1080 or 2K? The softer look of 1080p on a higher res monitor might actually benefit some fantasy styled games when it comes to atmosphere, and super sharp objects far away from you isn't always realistic, although opinion over this may vary depending on game and your own eyesight, lol

thats not an issue. but its important to buy the right size for the resolution which you want to use it on. so for 1440 I wouldnt go higher then 27". if you buy a 4k 27" it will look insane. but 1440p is also possible. so dont buy 34" 4k if you want to use it on 1440p mode. it willl look like this 💩. 29" or 32" for 1440p is also not good.

There are still questions that haven't answered on the internet. Isn't the size of a monitor play a huge role? To make it less confusing I will put it this way, you have 27" 1080p monitor, 27" 1440p monitor and 27" 2160p monitor, if you watch a 1080p video on these three monitors, is there gonna be any difference in the quality of the video in each monitor or is it gonna be the same in all the three monitors?

So I have some questions I am planning on buying a Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 or G8 and both of them are 4k I need it for colour grading HDR footage in a budget and I can barely find anything that can display 1000nits brightness constantly which is necessary for HDR1000 standard I will get myself a rtx3060ti or rtx3070ti either way I doubt I will be able get good enough frames in 4K so my question is if I reduce the resolution to 2K will it effect the quality of the footage much also I plan on recording my games to on the same pc using GeForce experience I can reduce to 1080p too if needed but the question is how much is the quality going to drop I would be pleased if someone can answer this in a technical manner possible explaining the thing oh also how does Anti Aliasing help with with all this

does 1080p on a 4k monitor look worse than 1080p on a native 1080p screen? i want a 4k monitor but many games i will only be able to play at 1080p even with a 2080S and wouldnt want my games to look worse.

in 1080p would the monitor basically be using 4 pixels to create 1 pixel in the game? and 2 pixels to create 1 pixels in 1440p?

I used to browse these videos a lot for answers and after I bought a 4K TV, I understood this with experience: 1080p gaming on my 4K 55" TV looks good not as bad as I had set the worst case scenario bar, but definitely not as good as 4K settings do, or how it looked on my 1080p 43" TV. But yeah, 1080P on a 4K TV looks very acceptable at a 12 feet distance to me

I think you could have used a darker scene for better comparison, try to aim for pitch black next vid thanks.

4K without HDR is a gimmick. It's not worth the extra hardware cost. I rather 1080p @ 60 FPS than 4K at 30 frames. HDR is way better than 4K. I would argue if you had 1080p with HDR, that people would rather that over 4K with no HDR.

I'm still confused.. My simple question is. Does native 1080p look better than a 1080p on a 2k/4k monitor?

4k monitor vs 1440p, question

lets say same size, same specs, would a 4k monitor run at 1440p have the same video quality as its 1440p counter part? are thier cons? is its worst? my question is having best of both worlds, i would like to have a 4k for video quality and have the option to game at 1440p if the game needs to be, i would just like to make sure a 4k monitor run at 1440p would not be worst in terms of video quality then just getting a 1440p monitor

I think people just buy em to fit in and because theyre cheap. Most people are still using low rez media on a 4k panel and it looks horrible. Had a dude with a switch and a wii on a 4k and it look so terrible yet he says it looks amazing. People rather have a 50 inch 4k tv than a 43 inch 1080p 120hz tv with a proper color engine. Same goes for monitors. Most people are dumb tho I guess.
