ОтветитьMaybe just watch MMA matches? Someone wins and someone loses. Whats the point of this shitshow?
Ответитьthis is BS you cheat in any MA you will have an unfair advantage. If you look at the history of MMA you will see that there was a time that BJJ dominated. Because if you are not prepared to go to the ground, the second that someone that is prepared get you there they win.
ОтветитьThat is a good video and it proves a point not only about BBJ but all other martial arts. That's because each one of them has a weak spot. That's why people do MMA right? To cover all possible scenarios. But even though is a strong martial art in a street situation it might not work at all. I could say that MMA doesn't work in the street because if I fight a guy with a gun I'll be dead regardless of my abilities. For me, it sounds like you are saying that in a war warriors don't work because all archers will take them down before they get close, but in a war situation, we have warriors, archers, ballistics and all other stuff that alone doesn't work in all situation but together can manage for sure most of them.
Ответить😂
ОтветитьAgreed. All martial arts have lost their essence. No need to kill with hands nowadays 🤭😉 jokes
It's understandable tho, awesome vid
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🍻🤙🏽🇦🇺
I fell for the clickbait but the honesty of the video changed my mind. Subscribed.
Ответить😅😅😅 pick someone who is good at it next time 😅
ОтветитьTry in ufc or other bjj instructor after that make a content. Tell us not is work. Thanks
ОтветитьNO SECOND PLACES ON THE STREET
ОтветитьJesse, thanks for doing this. I'm a stand-up fighter, my dad was, and my son is. I honestly didn't believe that BJJ is the killer of all martial arts. And you have proven that is a spectacular way!
ОтветитьSo.. his opponent was super new and had no grappling background other than bjj. When I started bjj/csw (the place I trained at offered traditional muay thai/muay boran as well), I had already done wrestling mind you and I got my ass handed to me with the amount of sweeps, drags, and throws they taught.
Moral of the story, not all bjj practitioner's and not all tournament competitors are going to let you stay standing. Additionally if that was blue and above you would have gotten your legs and wrists attacked while you were standing.
if you have to roll around on the ground with sweaty dudes all day to train to win a fight, youve already lost.
ОтветитьHoly crap this video is HILARIOUS LMFAO
ОтветитьAnd that's why MMA exists.
Ответить"I'll prove it doesn't work by practicing it." 🤣
ОтветитьHumility, and hilarity.
Thank you for this presentation, and how you portrayed it against your own understanding of what works in real potential situational combat, where rules not apply. When it's not a game to be played.
All styles are good in their own way and offer educated perspective.
Collect and learn, be prepared.
Keep it up, I appreciate you doing these vids for us all to watch and observe
I'm gonna take this latest Jesse's martial arts life sidequest as a suggestion to learn Judo, or at least BJJ that actually teaches you how to fight while standing.
ОтветитьIm going to prove karate doesn't work by going to a tournament and refusing to use karate.
ОтветитьI hate that im helping your channel by commenting but anyways. Bjj is nota be all of the end all. Bjj isfor fitness etc or its a part of a full fight conglomerate. Id love to see you fight an mma guy with out bjj. Its not for the average knucklehead wanting toget into fights
ОтветитьAbsolute profound wisdom Jesse. You are more than a karateka, you are a true martial artist as while you are committed to one art you understand its limitations and what true fighting really entails.
I’m truly sick of this martial art or that martial art being so arrogant to say everything else is “Bullshido”. BJJ has its merits, for sure, but its modern iteration has somehow forgotten what Vale Tudo was originally about, being its original Brazilian roots.
“Be like water”, as Bruce Lee said, and learn from every art and system taking what you need to be a well rounded fighter and human being.
Awesome seeing you expose the shortcomings of a system while also somehow celebrating it too. You have a special way of being a fantastic advocate for martial arts as a whole.
Also when you fighting criminals on hard drugs. Hitting them does nothing Im not a cop but in sa crime and violence is everywhere we chased a criminal that tried to break in my van then another guy KNOCKED him with his van he was still standing until I flew kick him gave him some ground and pound but that drugs was hard also i have some mma experience I ended up putting him ina rnc then he was laying there SLEEPING in the street so yes bjj does work I totally neutralized my attacker and ended the fight cause when those guys on drugs it's like pain don't exist 😢😅 however your joints can only bend so much and you only have so much time when your air supply is cut off drugs ain't gon help that time
ОтветитьKarate is useless
ОтветитьThis experiment proves one thing: One can avoid going to the ground if the opponent doesn't no how to take down.
It doesn't prove at all that BJJ doesn't work. That was clearly presented since you couldn't do that on the black belt. He beat you every single time. So really saying "BJJ is useless" is somehow cynical.
Do you know the reason why BJJ got so famous? Since Royce Gracie won UFC 1 in 1993. In that tournament there were no weight classes, no time limit and no rules except no eye gouging and no biting. Royce won against standup fighters, grapplers and fighters much bigger and stronger than himself. That's why the
Gracies and BJJ became legend.
I don't want to say "BJJ is best" because I think there's no best martial art. It all depends on the individual fighter. But knowing how to properly ground fight can give you an advantage.
I totally agree that you don't want to be on the ground when dealing with multiple opponents. But to be honest, dealing with multiple opponents is in general not a thing you want to have. In that situation running is the only way to survive.
Most "fighters" never get into a streetfight, they're wise enough to know there no rules on the street and even a 100lb soaking wet druggie bum can pull a pocket-🔪 and end your life right there.
Ответить"I enter a bjj tournament and refuse to follow the same rules my opponent follows.... bjj is bad"
Ответить😊
ОтветитьOver qualified?? I doubt the warriors would have thought much about you just trying to stay standing on your feet.
One question. How many kick ass karate guys can you name?
Bro forgot he fought with a WHITE belt, IN A COMPETITION, where they take it nice and slow, go to a higher belt and see then😂
ОтветитьI still disagree. If you K.Oed someone in the face and their head lands on hard concrete, they're dead. But grappling is safer, bc you can defend yourself by pulling a Kimura, armbar, or rear naked choke. The point is that Jiujitsu is a safer self-defense sport for the opponent than karate or muay Thai, for example, That's why I strongly disagree with Jesse's point
ОтветитьHe is the best around thumbs up
ОтветитьI wish jiu jitsu would penalize guard pulling unless they've tried hard and can't take each other down.
ОтветитьPerfect headline. If you think this is silly, try Martin Wheeler and Systema. Or even Vlad if you have time to visit Toronto 😂
ОтветитьI love the BJJ is bad in a street fight, when BJJ saved me from getting jumped. Nothing sweeter then flipping a guy who has you in full mount and ground and pounding after he realized he fucked up.
ОтветитьI Love how Jiu Jitsu guys doesn't know what to do when the oponent have a good takedown defense.
ОтветитьI mean it's the art of war, don't make your opponent comfortable in a fight to do what he likes, adapt to any style, fighting is about intelligence sometimes.
ОтветитьSo.... Steven Seagal has a point (as per your interview)
ОтветитьAwesome Video ❤️💯👍
ОтветитьWhat does competing at a white belt tournament prove?? White belts essentiallly have no experience / skill so you're competing against someone in a bjj tournament that doesn't know bjj then saying it doesnt work??? You're a black belt at karate right? Maybe compete at blackbelt level and then see how easy it is to disengage instead of against complete begginers.
ОтветитьThis is because: As Samurai began dying off when war began using gunpowder Jujitsu began to die with them due to the lack of effectiveness of hand to hand combat against guns 🔫. As a result of this a man by the name of Jigoro Kano developed Judo from Jujitsu as a "softer" art to sustain the life and history of Jujitsu. In turn this was spread across the world with intention to become an Olympic sport, which it did. As a result of this within the past 100 years a little boy from Brazil named Helo Gracie was getting picked on and beat up and met one of Kano's students learning Judo. He wasn't very good at the throwing aspect of Judo because he was smaller and weaker than the people he had to train with so he focused mostly on the positioning on the ground = Brazilian J(i)ujitsu.
Your welcome 🙏 OSS!
Does karate work in a street fight?
ОтветитьIf the past was good, try to repeat it.
Ответитьyou only need to watch ufc and see that the best fighters are wrestlers that learnt how to strike. practicaly every champion is of that profile. pure bjjs don't have a chance in ufc, because wrestlers have no problems defending takedowns. but even MMA still won't prepare you to a fight with someone holding a weapon. so you better practice running too...
ОтветитьI love this. This is what I say all the time. I am a Nidan in kempo. I don't mind learning just in case. But for the love of GOD stay on your feet so you can run. If needed
ОтветитьAbsolutely true. People have commented that "it took three police officers to take this woman into custody?". One police office could have beaten the woman into unconsciousness, but that is not the goal of police. Placing someone into custody involves placing them into a position to put them into custody, not beating them into submission.
In self-defense, there are no rules. Strikes and kicks while you are upright is the way to go. This imparts punishment to deter the attacker and allows the victim to escape by running away. BJJ works very well in competition, but it is not the best technique in a real world situation where you are fighting for your life.
Sport isn’t real fighting.
Someone who trains for sport is still better off than someone who doesn’t train.
But, all the rules become crutches. Once you know your opponent must do something or absolutely cannot do something it’s just a game.
Real boxers are monsters in fights with people who can’t fight. Just like real kick boxers. Just like BJJ guys. None of them can readily jump over into the other sports.
And, MMA stuff like UFC is basically aggressive point sparring.
Training anything is better than training nothing. Without a doubt.
But, if you’re going to get into a fight … bring guns and friends.
See what happens when you dont play along with a wrestler. That BJJ guy only knows how to pull guard.
ОтветитьIf your BJJ school doesn't train and spar takedowns then you're at a McDojo - simple
ОтветитьI loved this video! I wish You Made a video of" karate jutsu" your family style... please!!
