US elections: alright, we got a democratic Stalin and a republican hitler, and a few third party dudes that are gonna get like no votes. Also everyone is going to tear each other to shreds if either of them win. Oh, did we mention both republican and democratic candidates are horrible people?

The most perplexing thing is why Republicans are so much against abortion. Seems like a black spot on progressive USA. There are so many countries with conservative governments, '3rd world' counties, Islamic/Christian/Buddhist/Hindu country(ies) that legalize abortion. Feels like an archaic miindset.
If conservatives and liberals here would differ on points like trade, market etc. it'll make so much more sense, but conservatives sticking to 'pro-life', pro-gun issues, seems dated.

Three possible outcomes? Win, lose or tie. Both houses is a win or a loss for one team or another. A split is a tie. The first two are disasters for America. A split is a win for the country simply because than neither side can try to ruin the country by going too far in either direction. An opinion by an unaffiliated voter. Your results may vary.

I can tell you now scenario 3 not going to happen.

The fact that our judges are appointed by people whose entire jobs is to obtain power and maintain that power is the problem. Politicians should not be able to determine the judges of our court systems.
