I need a good idea of a better camp axe ! I live in Iowa USA 🇺🇸 and we do a ton of camping 🏕️ and by we most everyone in Iowa camps in some way and everyone needs a great camp axe you all know build a better mouse trap and the world will beat a path too your door . Sadly these days it’s probably coming too split you with your axe ..lol 😅. We need one to split and of course cut a tree out of a trail quickly and keep the edge . One that can hammer in tent stakes chop the head off a trout .light but strong enough too stand toe too toe with a bear ! Now the the large box stores and outdoor stores have these 20.00 us camp axes 🪓 but one use the head is lose the steel is too soft and there’s no real edge then of course there’s to 250.00- 750.00 fancy camping axes the aren’t really any better then the 20.00 one but here in USA you make it look cool and you’ll fetch a good price but a bad reputation as a expensive bad axe . I can make anything but I’ve tried and tried and failed many times too make the perfect camp axe … I have came close . But then I have my wife take too the wood shed and have her try the things I have listed outside of toe too toe with a bear 🐻. But she has destroyed a road killed deer ! I have toyed with a flare loaded in the handle even a bear round in the handle also but the wife don’t like guns and if she is in a stressful situation I would expect her too tear into the bear with her expensive finger nails and teeth … she protects the kids like she is a mma fighter . But the flare discharged in a bears mouth would send a bear running I believe. But I’d love too ge some ideas from anyone who’s a camper and would like the perfect camp axe !
