KEY WON'T TURN IN IGNITION-HOW TO FIX IT

I don't agree with the idea of a light oil in an ignition switch . There is now WD-40 Specialist Silicone Quick Drying / WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube with PTFE [ diirt and dust resistant ] . You want something that will not attract dirt and dust , etc . Also , to spray the key with all purpose cleaner and use a small brush to clean the grooves out , then wipe it with a microfiber towel .

Thank you!!!!!!! All I had to do was wiggle the steering wheel left and right while at the same jiggling the key back and forth.

WD40...... Lololo. I'd suggest against that.... but that's just me. Dry lock lube only

After years of not using my Valet key (2012 Outback), i put WD on the key, no luck, but when i also sprayed it into the iginition, BINGO! 👏👌🙌👍 78 yo gal. 😊
