Where is Ten Commandments on this list? And I disagree about Magnificent Seven. The Seven Samurai was better.

YESSS!!!! I dont care what anyone says, "THE THING" from 1982 will always be the King of remakes in the 80s!!! Back in the time when making remakes wasnt really a "thing", John Carpenter set the bar high for future science-fiction horror and truly grotesque action scenes between the Monster against the crew. If you have never seen the movie, I would highly advise it and keep reminding yourself, "Wow, this was really made in 1982!!!" Which truly makes this horror classic, a CLASSIC FOR ALL TIME AND FUTURE GENERATIONS WHEN WE'LL BE DEAD!!! ❤

West Side Story? Seriously? The movie was an utter failure. Many people hated, and it was a total flop that only made $76 million when it needed $300 million just to break even.

All right. I'll give you that. That is the ONLY live action Disney remake that was good. Jungle Book was all right. Cruella and Maleficent we're all right. But that's it. Pinocchio was good. But no more.

Sorry but japanese cinema it's on another level. You can't compare a master like Kurosawa with anyone. As you can compare Ringu with The Ring. J Horror is ten times superior to the horror of that era in the States.

I have to disagree with Jungle Book. The singing of the new version was not up to par and it lost most of its charm. The "animation" of the newer version also gave me the creeps. It was a little too soon for computer generated "live action" animals. In addition, it was more frightening for children. It basically moved the movie into a older age-group.

How did Scorcese's Cape Fear slip past everyone?
I'm a bigger fan of 1976's King Kong (rather than Jackson's), which gave us one of the first realist ape performances through Rick Baker's creation, a better narrative, and Jessica Lange.
