Fans nowadays will probably not fully understand just how big T-ara was. They were right there with SNSD and 2NE1 and had all of the possibilities to surpass them and dethrone SNSD for the title of "nation's girl group". And then Hwayoung dug their grave for years to come even if the girls had been proven innocent. Witch hunts are still a thing in kpop but they'll probably NEVER reach the scale of T-ara's repercussions.

I don’t get why people think that buying a product from a company and then later destroyed said product is boycotting. Young pop stars are people who are allowed to grow and continue to work. There are literal male actors raping their fans and people are making a big deal because a 17 year old didn’t know any better to learn work etiquette. Regardless of who was bullying, nobody can deny that the biggest villain in the whole situation was Kim Kwang Soo, the CEO of Core Contents Media. Around the time between I Go Crazy Because of You and Yayaya, he did an interview where he said that he keeps the members in competition with one another for lines and center positions to show them that "they need him more than he needs them" and was adding a new member to the group to keep them from becoming comfortable. I'm not saying Hwayoung is innocent, but the whole situation could have been avoided if he didn't foster a toxic work environment for his own sense of self worth.

Nonsense, those other girls can claim they weren't bullying Hwayoung but, their ugly texts towards her don't lie. I think the others were jealous of Hwayoung because she did stand out from the rest.

Regardless of who the bad guy is, the why the fans acted sounds stupid. If you burn their merch and cancel the group, the group member that you supposedly support is going to get screwed too. So dumb.
