Almost 200 years of English rule in the Subcontinent has left a clear impression on the Urdu language. Even native speakers find it difficult to find the correct Urdu word/expression for the context and fall back on the oft used English vocabulary for the same. One small but common example: "mey sab kuch kar longi, aap TENSION na lain."
