Gouda is world famous for cheese. But it is also a very charming place to begin a bike ride. The ride starts at the market in the center of Gouda. You securely navigate away from the busy city center towards the outskirts of town. From here, you will bike along traditional channels and waterways. Occasionally, you will pass one of the traditional Dutch windmills. Gouda is part of the ‘green heart’, one of the most fertile areas in the Netherlands. It is an area used for agriculture, nature, and recreation. As you get to the fortified town of Schoonhoven you will navigate the narrow streets and ride on a dyke along one of the big waterways. Most of the landscape is man-made and is located below Sealevel. This ride is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a flat ride through traditional Dutch scenery.
In this ride-along video, you ride at the speed of a trained cyclist. If you want to ride at your own speed, please look below for how you can make that possible with our indoor cycling app Open Road.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc.) pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride.
