I think it is safer to mark the first named pet throughout the wole second series of paper pieces. Isn't it? At least you know it was a named one.

Problem with the tutorial is he writes bird first but that will only work if they pick bird for one of next two. I think you would write the first household animal then the same for next two.

I'm a nerd and I love to know the "how" and "why" of things like this. It doesn't ruin the magic for me: it enhances it! Now I can relax and enjoy the performance because I don't feel the need to figure it out. I already know.

I'm sorely tempted to learn this myself. I have PTSD so people already accuse me of being psychic (or a Jedi!) when it's just an old skillset that I'm adjusting and repurposing and some parts of the illness I'm dragooning into helping instead of hindering me. So this trick could be loads of fun to do at a restaurant or a coffee shop!

I haven't done palming since I was a kid, so it seems I get to practice that again :)

It was really cool because in some episodes you showed kids how to do imagery relaxation, you showed some tricks, etc.... It was really inteersting. What if they pick 3 pets without a bird? Like cat, dog and mouse for example. I thought another way was to ask them to name 3 types of animals, like insect, humans, BIRDS etc. this makes a much higher chance of them saying bird in the list.. right?

That is brilliant! As for Ukraine, it is really sad that we have NATO and Russia engaged in a power struggle with innocent Ukrainians in the middle. The only innocent ones are the Ukranian citizens. Biden and Nato are trying to force Ukraine to NOT come to any agreement with Russia because they want to extend the war as long as possible... profitable for companies like Raytheon.
