You missed a great table, Au pied Bleu, it's a butcher shop with a restaurant. If you make a reservation for a full table worth of people in advance, you can eath their 6 or seven servings (don't remember the exact number). Last time I wenth it was so good and reminded me so much of my late Grand Father's cooking I was crying. (he was a well known epicurean and cook.) with it's blending of French and Quebec cooking it is in my humble opinion one the best table around. You will get out rolling and satisfied after hours of decadent feasting.
ОтветитьMy friend you went to L'Atelier wich is a good drinking spot, but right beside is Ophelia, owned by L'Atelier, it's their high end surf n turf restaurant wich is amaaaazing. But how come how missed ''the clan'' and most important ''le continental'' where they make chateaubriand at the table.. continental is for sure top 3 restaurant in qc
ОтветитьMontreal and Quebec has some of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. L'affaire and continental are on my restaurant bucket list
ОтветитьThanks! Great video. ❤

ОтветитьI’ve been wanting to visit for years, especially to practice French in the Americas!
ОтветитьThe video is extremely amazing… fully watched it. Thank’s for the information about what Quebec has to offer… salut!
ОтветитьWith how tiny the portion sizes are, I just might lose weight.
ОтветитьI love Quebec !! I have been there a long time ago in late 80's !! I'd love to go back there in the near future !! It's been on my mind for such a long time !! I'm not sure why I haven't yet !! I almost did it one time ,though ! I believe it's because I live in L.A.,I think I could go back there anytime !!? Lol. People were super polite/ nice there !! Foods were great ,too ! I ate filled mignon w/ fois Gras there ,although I felt bad for ducks !! Then ,I became a vegan ,I was for 17 years ! I'll never eat meat ,or the duck pate !! I am now just a vegetarian, it's been 13 years !! I read there are even vegan restaurants in Old Quebec now !! I didn't expect that !! The sceneries & buildings in Old Quebec were beautiful 😍 I 've gotta revisit there !! I am thinking about doing so the next year ,or a year after ! I'll have to trip two times to Canada because I'd love to visit Banff ,Alberta & Calgary as well !! Canadians are very very friendly, one of the friendliest people on Earth !! 🌎 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞

ОтветитьLe Continental. Most items prepared tableside by tuxedoed waitstaff (many items flambéed) from the salad to the dessert. Romance? All food poetry applies.
An American, I've always thought I was getting a major discount, thanks to the US-Canada exchange rate.
Je sais qu'aujourd'hui, c'est cinq ans plus tard, mais je tiens à vous remercier pour les excellentes informations ici... !
ОтветитьVisited Quebec City years ago.

I use to go to Le Parmesan when Roberto was still alive ( family friend) and Pat ( still there) et l'accordéon de Sergio... j'ai touché les creux des années sur son clavier.. this place deserve reconnaissance.. and yes there's Luigi, but .. its fine i guess 🤣😆

ОтветитьFun fact maple syrup in french is syrop d'érable but maple syrop on ice in french is actually tire and tire is not trully mapple syrup but rather baked maple syrup and when room temperature its texture is like a super sticky version of caramel (not liquid) and you beat up tire for a while it will brighten, lose its stickiness and get a texture like peanut better we call that mapple butter (beure d'érable) but if you just keep baking the tire instead or beating it then it becomes dark brown and solid we call that maple sugar (sucre d'érable) and it is the one thing thats actually sweeter then sugar im serious its so sweet that if you are used to sugar you wont able to tolarate it its like jalapiño but instead of head overload its sugar overload
However maple sugar is expensive and hard to make because it burns easily
