I'm 58, never married, and very happily single. I have complete freedom, independence, and financial security. I was in relationships constantly from the age of 18 to the age of 38, and I don't miss any of them.

I grew up with toxic family, so I never learned how to pick the right people for friends let alone for marriage, I never wanted kids for medical reasons, and dating for me was a disaster -- quit at 46, some of us are simply not meant to be married, for years I felt like a failure for not marrying, at 68 I finally let it go, I'm at peace with it

people forget, many couples after long marriages simply outgrow each other or get tired of marriage, they divorce amicably and life goes on, the partners still love each other, but they are now moving in different directions -- this is the new pool of singles today

I enjoyed being single and no worries about married man in myself telling me what to do and worried about having midlife crisis and the wife and daughter and single life it happy life

How to be happy? I been single for 20 years and I enjoy it ,and never will be in a relationship ever again. Freedom and drama and stress free without being with a controlled freak.i been down that road.nomore for this happy and single guy.

YES, being single is a blessing from god, as if you try to be with someone then it will be hell sooner or later but if you stay away from them then you will see second half before you and that person will be sent to you from god and will make your life bright ...

Thats fine go on dates & live in the moment BUT do not misguide people and use them for your own emotional/sexual satisfaction without making it clear at the start that you dont want to commit or that youre not expecting anything.

These are some good ideas if you have hope for finding another person eventually. But this does not address folks who are not likely to find someone to share life with. Someone who is going to be single for the rest of their life. Stop lying to people by pretending everyone is going to find someone one day. That’s just flat out not too and it’s not helpful. It’s hurtful.

What if you do all that and still single. I think it makes me meaner thinking hey where's my person. When i think no one ia coming i am nice and i go for my goals because I keep telling myself well no one is coming. I wish not to worry about it and I really don't want a relationship. I just to enjoy my life and I wish people would stop wondering why im single. Cuz I want to be. Yall play alor of games and I really don't want that. People are happier when in love. It's proven. Being single is fine, but you aren't as comfortable. Most, if not all, people want to be with others.

I'm single and lonely as I don't have support from family nor friends which can be very difficult not saying a man will make things better.I am just saying that people can be single and unhappy but I'm learning to love myself that's why I'm here and seeing a therapist.

My problem is not with the messages these women teach, but I find myself immensely attracted to Stephanie. I know it will never happen, but it drives me crazy regardless! Does she actually meet with clients? How does she handle it if her client falls for her? I notice that when she's teaching she dresses down and has her hair pulled up, but in the title photo she's hot!

I can never be happy with anyone in my life single life is way better I plan to remain single forever I love myself too much and nobody else can make me feel fulfilled as I am now.

It's odd to me that there are so many videos on how to be happy single. My biggest life struggle so far has been how to be happy in a relationship, how to not feel like I'm losing myself, like I'm missing out, etc. I've tried it a couple of times because of social pressure, but to be honest I am always much more balanced, energised and excited about life when I'm on my own. I enjoy watching romantic movies for entertainment but my inside voice always goes: ' I'm so glad that's not me!' 🤣🤣

I am watching this video at a point when i am so burnt out from "looking for the one". I am so done with that - and I am thinking, what if I never meet someone I can have a long term relationship with? Does that mean my life is doomed or incomplete? I want to be able to accept that I am going to be single all my life, and thats just fine, no problem, i will still love it all! Even in this video there is a suggestion "when you learn to enjoy yourself alone, then you will meet someone to do it with". I find this whole idea ridiculous, if i was so happy single, why would I even bother to get with someone else!? But that's what I want now, to just be happy single ever after...🌈 🦄🦋

Nice video - just researching material about material for my scholar article about relationship building. Great point about the happiness and being happy when being single. As an interdisciplinary psychotherapist I think, that the personal space is important both in personal life and when building relationship with others. It is incredibly interesting how people project expectations and demands on one another when it comes personal spaces in single personal space and in relationships building. Sometimes it is just the matter of misunderstandings and the lack of will to understand, but off course I may be wrong ;)

I always feel like I change when I am in a relationship, and not for the better…being single I am worry free, not jealous, and just happy being my true self.

When people send 3 fucking planes into a tower in your fucking country, you show them, how to fight. They are scared of you, they have wives, kids and children at their home. Your enemy has weakness. Single > having a relationship. Does your wife pay for the house? No. Does your wife feed you? No. Does your wife take your money? Yes. Does your wife make you worry everyday? Yes. Love only creates pain. Without love there is no heart break. Without wife there is no divorce. Single is the best. You can rule the house. You are the king of the house. No more disagreements in the house. I can game all the way up to 4 am when I'm not working with my mic and speakers blaring. No one to complain. Why would you spend money on someone else? Your hard earned money, spend it on yourself. You earned it. DOn't spend it on some stranger girl. I grew up without a single friend until university. You don't need friends. I don't even eat with my family anymore, they eat without me. You don't need family. The only person you need is yourself. Stop trying to look for motivation and love from someone else. That's from within, look at yourself. Don't expect others to take care of you. Expect yourself to take care of you. The only person in the world you have to care about is yourself. No one else cares about you. Your dad teaches you nothing, your mum just leaves, you only need yourself. Grow the fuck up. Your girlfriend isn't here to help you. She's here to help herself. No one is going to approach you and ask for help. They'll go try to coax you up, make you happy with malicious intent.

I even dated an alcoholic to not be alone, or someone who blanked me for a month before we got together.
