Thank you to Larian Studios for gifting me a copy of this game! This is my first Baldur's Gate game and I'm super excited to go on this journey! I'm also new to the DnD world, so if anyone has any tips or could help with lore, please feel free to do so in the comments. Yeah, BG3 is very faithful to how D&D is played. All the mechanics, all the spells, races, classes, actions, the world, and everything.

BG3 is about as close to playing D&D as you can get without a group of other players.

this is perfect. my tiktok fyp has gotten me absolutely obsessed with Astarion already and has me REALLY wanting to play this game myself, but unfortunately my computer is definitely not strong enough to handle that. so i've been looking for a playthrough to watch, ideally of someone with a similar type in ✨️romance candidates✨️ as myself, and it seems like i just found it! time to catch up :D

I only got to play D&D last year for the fist time. Sadly we didn't have the best DM and our group fell apart earlier this year.

I played the OG Baldur's Gate and I gotta say, I don't really care for this latest one with the aliens and spaceships 🫤 Just feels like another Starcraft or Unreal Tournament☹️

I'm not able to play baldurs gate because I don't have a pc, so I knew I needed to find someone with the same taste as me who filmed their playthrough. I saw the flower crown and moon necklace and KNEW you were the perfect choice.

I have played dnd for years and am actively looking to either be a player or dm a game! Seeing all the dnd elements in this game makes me so happy!

I loved the first two games and was so excited when I heard they were making a third, but then I found out about the switch to turned based content, and my excitement died. Im just not a fan. Everyone keeps telling me the game is amazing though and I should give it a chance. I decided to look up some lets palys too see. This is my first and while it does look good, it definitely isnt for me, I just can't stand turned based combat in this sort of game. I loved the old combat system and this just doesnt work for me. And I'm not really a fan of the rolling bit pausing and cutting into the game. I liked the previous games being inspired by d and d but not leashed too it. I would have preffered as a supposed third it honored more of what had been established in previous games rather than forcing more of the table top feel in.

I know this is 2 weeks late, but, without spoilers, there are at least hints of the existence of poly-am relationships.

I chose to play a tiefling, as they are my favorites, and the druid quest lines were… harder hitting then I was expecting. I’m personally working on romancing Astarion! I recommend saving often, personally . I’m currently doing a rogue playthrough, and have reached level three. I would recommend doing quite varied subclasses when leveling up characters, be careful to not lean too heavily into spell slots overall! It’s a lot to keep track of.

for me, D&D races; I love the Tieflings best so made one of every class in Neverwinter MMO and my main is my Soulweaver Warlock but you'll do grand don't worry
