This was a great watch the whole way through. I also did the calculations. It would take theoretically 3.5 years to complete this challenge. I also suck at algebra and math so I probably got MANY things wrong in calculating it.

As a matter of fact, how you you prove that’s not what you were using to begin with

As I'm sure you can run into walls and still trigger random encounters, put a book against the left thumbstick, and use a ps1 controller with an auto button and keep the x pressed. The only thing is you'll also have to keep timers for healing. But once your stats improve your hp and defense should improve, so you'll have more down time between heals.

Feel bad for the kid who did this, I beat the whole game as this kid just spent the entire of what must have been the time it would have took not only to play and beat the whole game, but much more I'd bet. Only to stay in the same area and reach level 100... For what? Why is that special??? It's sad. That's like getting GTA 5 when it came out, but never left a certain part of the map and maxed out your character. Pointless and you missed out on a great game.

This also serves as a lesson about never giving up, and always getting focused on the goal. It took him 5 years to reach that point, and he could have just thought "this is a waste of my free time, it's not going to be worth it", but no, he continued, he persevered. If you have something that lets you persevere, and move forward, even if it's something seemingly silly as "reaching level 99 in a 25 year old videogame", then your life might get easier for you
