ОтветитьGreat Video Mayuko.
Btw, the link you provided for the Coding interview book doesn't go anywhere. Just a heads up :P
I have a technical interview and I was wondering is it advisable to google the answers ?
I am a beginner and was just wondering am i suppose to remember it all ?
Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьWhy no ebook version ?
Ответитьgreat video
ОтветитьI think asking how many ping pong balls fit in an airplane is a great question. It demonstrates one's ability to deal with ambiguity. What kind of airplane? Does it have seats? Can you use boxes or anything to store them? How well can the candidate estimate? How do they go about formulating their estimate? Being a software engineer isn't all about regurgitating problems from leetcode or cracking the coding interview.
Ответитьdamn, I need a video like this for mechanical engineering interviews 😬
ОтветитьTitle should have said technical coding interview. Specifically.
ОтветитьThere are studies that stand by the power of positive thinking, but what I practice along with it is negative visualization. After spending days or weeks before the interview picturing myself actually working at the company, I spend the day before the interview visualizing me failing and ... wait for it because this is key ... being OKAY with it. Building yourself up only to be let down can have a devastating effect on some people. However, if you train yourself through negative visualization to adopt more of a whatevs attitude, you'll be less stressed, surprisingly more confident and, if the worst happens, find the crash to be much gentler.
Ответить"My first tip is to study"
Mind blowing! Please give me more useful advice..
"the problems you encounter in the technical interview are the types of problems you would encounter IRL at this job because that gives a true measure on how you would do should you work there."
Bingo! Forget StackOverflow or figuring out what is the right library for the task at hand. Solving Leetcode style problems is exactly what you're going to do all day at any big tech company.
And right when I think this video can't get any more pathetic she recommends a gem that NOBODY in the software industry has heard before: Cracking the coding interview! Well, at this point you might as well go ahead and recommend Leetc... and she did.
Thank you so much, Mayuko! Your videos are so great and so helpful.
ОтветитьIf you can tell me in thirty seconds how many ping-pong balls can fit into an airplane then I know that you are good at mental math. If you understand that I am asking for order of magnitude rather than an exact number, then I know that you have a tolerance for working with imprecise information and you have techniques to do it efficiently, which means that you also have a bullshit radar that doesn't only ring after you have spent a million dollars on trying to solve an unsolvable problem. If you freak out, then I already know that you will crack at the first instance that you are being given a problem that's out of your html to Javascript spectrum. If you don't understand why people are asking these kinds of questions, then you are not very bright, I am afraid. You may be good at coding, but that's probably all you are good at. Is that good enough for my organization? Probably not. See you!
ОтветитьWhat is the salary range for an Ios engineer from your point of view?
ОтветитьI can not concentrate on what are you talking about because I'm distracted by your beauty.
Ответить"Try power-posing before your interview"
HR employee walks in on me T-posing
😍😍😍
ОтветитьThat power pose is definitely helping me right now. Back to back tech interviews today. I'm trying not to panic.
Ответить1 day before interview and have not studied with a buddy
Ответитьthank you :)
Ответитьhey guys, I have a copy of Cracking the coding interview , who's want?
ОтветитьI am still struggling with Devops interview (OPS ) There are so many tools to practice just for interview but in real world we don't them unless someone in the company working for a long time
ОтветитьThanks for the great tips!
ОтветитьMe: how do I write a for loop again?
ОтветитьI like to see your tips
ОтветитьWe had a great technical team lead who designed and built our large company system from scratch using VB6, then later on converted that to C# and WCF before leaving the company. He doesn't know web dev, but you can tell from the architecture of the system and the optimized performance, from database design to how every one of the thousand stored procedures were written that he's very technical! And yes, he said he doesn't prepare for technical interviews and doesn't believe in them, a newly IT grad can beat him to it, but won't know shit about building a robust system! And Btw, the system he built - still used to this day by the same company and 2 other small companies with small customizations done, 20+ years running...
ОтветитьThank you for the tips, I wil do great on my interview :)
Ответитьyou are pretty
Ответитьu kinda look like my boss
ОтветитьListening to Mayuko's videos always makes me feel so calm, relaxed and inspired!
ОтветитьHave my first tech interview ever tomorrow and am mighty nervous 😬 Thanks for all the tips in this video! I found them super helpful.
ОтветитьLove those eyes! <3
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьTechnical interviews are so stupid, who cares if you can solve some stupid problem like two sum or sort an array, that doesn't mean you can handle an entire job developing full scale applications and stick with it overtime
ОтветитьThank you for sharing great tips, Mayuko. I'm going through an interview soon and posing like wonder woman now :)
ОтветитьStudy with a buddy 🥲
ОтветитьThe "study with a buddy" tip is on point (pun intended). Totally changed my interviewing game!
ОтветитьIm here just because we have equal wallpapers...
ОтветитьTHANK YOU FOR THE SUBTITLES (I'm not a native english speaker)
ОтветитьThank you! The interview will happen in 30 min.
Wish me luck :)
interview tomorrow but wish i found this 5 days ago lol but I more or less did the things mentioned
ОтветитьWhy have you assumed the only technical field is computer engineering or computer science?
ОтветитьTwo weeks ahead for my interview.I gt inspirated by ur Video. Will give u da feedback after it is done
ОтветитьI HATE LEETCODE
ОтветитьI just got a call to scheduling my first coding interview in my life. Whatever the result it might be, wish me luck aye?
ОтветитьYou dont need to prepare honey, you will get the job..
Ответитьshall i need a book for interview or just online source is enough !!
ОтветитьFor interviews, I have the whole day planned to mentally groom myself. I get up early, treat myself to a nice breakfast, put on clothes that I feel good in, do a little confidence meditation, and most importantly, I make sure I don't do anything stressful in the hours leading up to my interview.
ОтветитьYou got great music taste.
ОтветитьHow much time would you recommend for preparing for technical interviews?
