It finally happened. I have been watching LSV cube for over a decade now and Balance finally actually took the spotlight and got to show what it can do. Balance is my favorite MTG card so its refreshing to see that despite not going in every deck, it can still seriously compete.

Wow you got Balance so late and it ended up being one of the best cards for the deck!

This deck is worth a second or third watch. Sometimes you have it all. I mean you literally had a mox and never cast it and still didn’t lose a game.

Lands is my favorite deck to draft in cube. It just plays like nothing else, and it's super interesting to have all of these interactions and combos within such a tight core package (Depths, Stage, Strip, Wasteland, Crucible, Crop Rotation, Ramunap, KOTReliquary, Reclaimer). There's also a lot of redundancy built into it with the exception of Strip Mine.

It also seems to be heavily under-drafted, which means you scoop up half these things on the wheel.

Just finished the deck building portion and I'm surprised stoneforge mystic wasn't cut with only one target in the deck for it (plus redundancy with trinket mage).

Thanks for the change in setup! I like booms, but mainly of the greater basilisk type.

This was one of the most fun drafts I've seen. The consistency was on a constructed level! More of these cool brews please. Lands/prison are so fun to watch when they come together like this. Zuran + Geddon + Balance is a blast from the past!

I know it might not be as interesting with decks that are less unique than this one, but I very much enjoyed the mini deck tech at the end of the video, and I think that it would be amazing to have them whenever possible. Always love a good sign-off :)

I feel like Balance is one of those cards where the brain kinda tricks players into imagining all of these scenarios where it might not be that good. But in practice, it almost never happens that the card just isn't the absolute nuts. I know it's partly because Balance seldom finds it's way in deck that doesn't have at least some ways to set it up a little. But still. I am often surprised by how late that card goes.

Honestly think this may have been my favorite vintage video ever. The interaction of Balance and Zuran Orb when you have Crucible in play was just absolute chef's kiss. If only you'd had Fastbond.
