I'm white (for context). Men haven't provided in decades. Women have been creeping up fast and are now almost half the breadwinning demographic. Growing up even in my teens, girls have ALWAYS been the ones at least trying to get it together with at least a job while their boyfriends just refused to focus on their futures and were so intently focused on stupid things like building a car for no reason. It was rare for me to see a boyfriend doing better in the relationship.

The first lady is CAPPING! What lawyers is out here dating struggling dudes in large numbers like it is the norm. Those layers cannot find men they want to date that want to date them. So, they blame black men that they would never date anyway. The modern women lack accountability. Always blaming men for their lack of success. Become more appealing to men and maybe you will have better success. Btw, she looks crayon cream color with all that makeup. Fake hair, and eye lashes. Women are starting to look like avatars. Us men do not like it.

Nobody is telling black women to date bums. But if you are a real life 5, stop acting like you're too good for a 5. Find something to offer a man and he'll find something to offer you.

Sorry, I disagree with the slave comment. There was a time when they were very enterprising, owning banks, shops, clinics and in many professions. We were hypergamous at that time it did not change until some time between the 6o's and 70's.

Even though getting a good job is harder for black men in the 40s and 50s many black men were home raising their families. We cannot blame slavery for men getting woman pregnant then bouncing.

This is such a silly question. We know the answer... they are no providers. Black women begun to outnumber black men at the age of 16. To contrast, white women begin to outnumber white men at the age of 32. There are 2.5 marriageable black women for every one marriageable black man. Marriageable simply means over the age of 18 and employed full-time. Do you understand what that means? There are two and a half women for every one black man with a full-time job. We're not talking about a great job. We're talking about the dude that works at Taco Bell. The math just simply doesn't math. Black women feel that they are forced to be alone or date unmarriageable men. Black men have told black women to be obese, for the past 60 years (stopped with in the 2010s when the Kardashians came with the bbls), so that they couldn't attract men from other races.

As an African woman living in a Middle Eastern country, I can tell you that OP seems to over romanticize the lives of women from other races/nationalities. The lady that mentioned how the women that are raised to vet providers are often left high and dry when they choose to leave the man is spot on. We are raised to be provided for and hence imagine having your safety net suddenly taken away. Women in the Middle East and Muslim African communities (I’m only gonna speak on the communities I know/am a part of) have started using their mehr (dowry) as something to fall back on, but even then, most of the women are not empowered with financial literacy and end up squandering it. I can’t tell to you the surprise on my face when I came to the Middle East only to find out that these women are facing the same problems that we African women are facing. Yeah we get to never work a day in our life if we want to, but if you end up with a wicked man then your life will be ruined. Only those that have a supportive family are able to bounce back effortlessly. Men are the same and dusties come in all flavours😂

Nah, when we as black women try help the black men succeed, we get taken advantage of. Black men today are a lot different from years past. They don't want to work hard or commit. Go tell this to the homeless mothers in the women's and children shelters. Every man isn't doing the right thing by a woman he was once married to. Being thrown out of your home, with nothing, by a man with all the money, power, and resources is VERY REAL. Women of other groups can afford to gamble on being a stay at home mom due to their INHERITANCE and position in society. They can simply move back home or win the house (or the money from it's sale) in a divorce. We live in a country where banks sabotage black property ownership. ITS NOT THE SAME. Black women have to start PROTECTING THEMSELVES. You want to be a stay at home mom, buy a house/condo first (or work to save a year's worth of living expenses), put it in a trust, get a certification/degree, to have under your belt, and volunteer in that field. Negotiate a stay at home mom wage and put money away in an interest bearing account during the marriage. Now submit.
