That's what I love about this series. It's not just "Haha funny Alex has big boobies." Sure sure, she's attractive, but she's an absolute badass who if she just knew when to dabble in the advanced side a bit, she'd be unstoppable. But that's why they're perfect for each other. Steve may be a snarky and egotistical jackass who can't read when he's getting on Alex's nerves (also doesn't know what privacy is), but he's extremely intelligent and when motivated is able to do things Alex could never imagine. And Alex may be petty, jealous, and a bit of a luddite, but she's an unbeatable warrior when she has the gear she needs and the best friend one could have in this situation.

Pretty much a part 2 to the other video. Where i basically said it did make sense why steve was less combat savvy as to Alex and how despite being in this world longer he still wasnt the best at combat for the reasons as others have explained in that over time he had to rely much less on combat to get what he needed and found work arounds and started using traps and other contraptions to deal with mobs. And also how consider the start of this series with the development of minecraft itself and how as others have also placed it. Steve joined in when combat really wasnt important and was just simple as all fuck and it was more so the mechanics that was the meat of the game.
Over time combat got overhauled and more dangerous and updated mobs where created and this is when Alex came into the picture
By this point Steve has made a livign staying more or less in one spot by a village usign them to farm the more harder to obtained trades and being able to still get diamond armor and weapons without the need to go minding except for the bare necessities that you cant to my knowledge trade for like coal in the end of Steves prologue. Meanwhile Alex has had to rely and continues on relying on combat and strength since day one even when rescued by Steve as she now has to use it to survive his dangerous pranks. Going to the point that its thats to Steve constantly putting her life in dangerous thag shes been trained so well.

As you see in their story especially later on. Steve is the farmer and builder with Alex being the muscle.
Shes always ready and eager for a fight thanks to Steves constant pranks while Steve has grown to laying still lying in wait and planning out his attacks. Which is why since he had time to breath when he got rescued by Alex he was able to come out with the contraption he had and was able to do what he did best
Being the support role of artillery plus being a damn medic. Being able to use his brain to do stuff that only real vets would know like how dispensers can literally equip you in full Diamond gear and everything you need for a trip to the mines or nether in a flip of a switch
