If Russian army is so weak then why Ukrain mobilises an elderly men and crippled while Russian regular forces are not even in use? Why so many graves appear at the cemetaries in Ukrain?

The problem here is whenever Russia announces a newer technology, they get very hyped about it and don't focus on the research. the same thing happened wit Russia's Ratnik program which they told that it would be a light weight, cheap and effective body armor for russian troops but they stopped the research halfway and sold it to airsofters

I will say, I’ll give Russia a pass on the Mosin Nagant, it’s a large caliber rifle length bolt action weapon and they have some type of optic on them so it appears to me they are used for a dedicated marksman role. Not really much different from what the US or the UK uses for sharpshooting in some capacities. Also kinda ironic calling a rifle from the 1890s as not being a quality weapon 😂.

I will further say, Russia is a paper tiger and a failed superpower, it’s trying to show that it’s still as powerful as it was 50 years ago and that’s just not the case. I think Russia’s failings militarily is the reason China hasn’t gone through with its invasion plans of Taiwan or it’s territorial claims in the South China Sea. It’s also a paper tiger and has a completely untested military that last saw conflict in 1979 when Vietnam wiped the floor with them.
