A bunch of freaks
ОтветитьI guess SCP Exploring never heard of Otzi's Curse that killed all of those responsible for it's discovery (How someone know about Otzi discovery without knowing the curse? It's literally tied to the Discovery).
Dead Man's Chair could also refer to Busby's Stoop Chair where a convicted man had his last meal sitting in before cursing the chair so that anyone that sit in it would face death and anyone that sit in the chair died. The shadow figure could be Busby himself as that was his favorite chair.
I hope you do a sequel to this covering more of the Department and the secrets held within
ОтветитьRule #1 of the SCP Foundation: It always gets weirder
ОтветитьAnother fun fact: all that sh*t about Jack Parsons? All true. Not the actual magic or anything, but the facts that he helped found JPL, he was an occultist, he knew Crowley, he was obsessed with "sex-magick", and performed various rituals for success (or something). Let's just say it didn't help his marriage. Or, in the end, his career.
ОтветитьMan control really gave you a lot of quality b roll
ОтветитьSorrow is just an elaborate loss joke and I just realized it right now
Ответитьi dont see why reading 5823 would make you uncomfie.
i read it and i didnt got it until i read some comments.
after that i still dont think its to bad, there are articles out there implying worse
This SCP has been altered for you. What you see and hear shall not be shared even with the Administrator.
05-14
Shot in the dark about the weird covered TV. They completely isolated bobble the clowns transmission and locked it to one TV.
ОтветитьThe living nightmare has to be freddy kreuger right?
ОтветитьDid L Ron Hubbard write this? It's crazy like him and scientology.
Ответитьthe department probably dissapeared because they had no abnormal directors, like the 05 council and what not
ОтветитьThis makes me want something like SCP but on a smaller more mysterious scale? Like, okay, we're starting this organization because suddenly these anomalies just started appearing out of nowhere as realality redefines or unravels itself.
ОтветитьThe whole Parsons thing being 100% factual up until the "being trapped as a spirit" bit makes this so much wilder 😅
ОтветитьAll of these are probably still in the in-universe database because the O5 is worried they involve the Striesand effect if they try to cover it up.
ОтветитьHuh, that anomalous asteroid sounds a lot like the wanderer moon from Outer Wilds...
ОтветитьI'm here for Asim's Crown
Ответитьi'm really curious about the "montezuma's face" thing in room 2
ОтветитьAll the theories about Adam being locked up in Floor 7 and stirring in the Kactusverse cannon. My theory is its not Adam but Noah. He is the magician who summoned the day of flowers and flooded the world. Maybe he gets out someday and causes yet another day of flowers?
Ответить>the dark side of the moon is aleister crowley's o face
what the fuck
The watchers sound like the watchers in the dark from wh40k
It's explain where the hangout when they aren't taking care of the dark angels chapter master and/or their darkest secrets
"I'm fucking the moooon. Take that Khrushchev, you idiot." - Last words of Alister Crowley
ОтветитьI like the the foundation just won’t touch the moon cause it’s too weird lmao, it’s not even a problem unless you’re there so it’s a “let sleeping dogs lie” scenario.
ОтветитьIt's... kind of really amusing how much of the Parsons - Hubbard - Crowley bit of the story is actually real lmao.
ОтветитьThis makes me miss the old SCP
ОтветитьNice control screenshots different games and story but very similar setting, after playing control I enjoyed it for being a low-key Alan wake sequel but also being a sort of AAA scp game
ОтветитьPersonally I think this SCP and the GOI associated is thematically attempting to capture that feeling you got upon stumbling across the SCP universe for the first time, mostly before the verse became incredibly popular. It reads a lot like the old series 1 entries, and that's very much on purpose.
The DOA itself is this strange, mysterious faceless organization that contains strange and dangerous things with no ready explanation, much like the early foundation. As well, the DOA leans on a lot of existing popular conspiracy theories and myths, such as the moon landings being faked. Again, this is a massive nod towards the early creation of the foundation and it's universe, the entire concept itself beginning literally as the cooked up fever dreams of paranormal fiction enthusiasts.
Most of all though, the theme that the DOA presents is a sort of meta commentary on how far the existence of the SCP foundation and it's universe has come. It's a sort of melancholic but accepting acknowledgment that much of the mystery around the setting is gone, but with that lack of mystery comes new opportunities.
I wonder if living nightmare is somehow supposed to be related to... I wish I could remember the number .... the SCP that is described as being a usually docile thing under a sheet that the SCP actively assists in killing victims that it chooses seemingly at random because it compels people to help it and they haven't been able to find a way to harm it because when they think of harming it they can't bring themselves to do it. I feel like the dreamer in the bed could be manifesting as that thing and killing people since it follows nightmare logic.
ОтветитьTHE ELRON HUBBARD THING IS REAL.
Elron Hubbard tried to do a sexual occult ritual before he founded Scientology. It didn't work, but I guess in this timeline it did.
Just checked out SCP 5832....well that was incredibly dark.
ОтветитьPressing the big glowing button was the weakest part of the story.
ОтветитьRoom # 1 Syncope symphony🤔😮
ОтветитьMan control fits so well for the background of an scp video
ОтветитьI like to imagine the Department as an 50's-70's style foundation
ОтветитьThis is so much more intense to listen to after SCP-6765. I wonder how many of these abnormalities are going to play into the next djkaktus article?
ОтветитьThe Jailorssss have ressset again...
ОтветитьTo be honest, any canon that contains SCP-2000 can't tell when or how they started, because history wouldn't remember the times it was activated.
So, say that every plant on Earth used to be red, then some cataclysm happened that changed them to green and killed humanity at the same time, we wouldn't remember red plants because the event would be removed from history.
Oh so thisbis warehouse 13s ceack cpusin
ОтветитьI think Montezuma's Revenge is some form of SCP 4975. The clicking noises fit, and the SCP has vague features consistent with MezoAmerican folklore
ОтветитьSo Alistair Crowley had SEGGS with the moon goddess and it was so good his face was carved into the far side of the moon?
Ответить"Nothing is canon" is just a memetic agent the enemies of the SCP Foundation use to prevent us from learning too much. All is canon.
ОтветитьTrinston was here ..
ОтветитьThe department of Abnormalities is group of interest ?
