How do you upload the content you want to screen share before the zoom lesson

Hi Russell, I'm not sure if you'll see this Q on an older video, but here goes! First of all, thanks for all your help in the last 18 months or so. I'm a CELTA trainer and your videos have been amazingly helpful! I'm about to start another course after a break. When I used to screen share on Zoom, I could see all the Word documents/slides I wanted to share and just clicked on the right one. Now, in the Zoom window when I click on screen share, I can only see, e.g. the box for Word and it shows how many documents I have open, but doesn't show each document individually! Where can I change this in settings? Thanks so much!

I'm in NZ and we're in lockdown at the moment. The one difficulty I face using zoom is that one of my students doesn't seem to be able to have remote control. It's not on the tool bar at the top of the screen for him,. All my other students have no difficulty and when I go to access remote control, it's always there. Hoping you may be able to help me. I have totally relied on you handy videos to master zoom. Thanks.

Hello Russel, can I screenshare an online placement test with a learner?

I am a one-on-one tutor. I like to see my student’s work on a whiteboard (mathematics), and when he makes a mistake, I like to write on the same whiteboard and correct his mistake. Can this be done?

'Optimise screen sharing for video option' turns off thumbnails when screen sharing as it optimises the screen to full screen for the video clip.

One issue I’ve encountered with shared screens in Zoom is that annotation done in other software, such as the slide annotation in PowerPointt, can cause freezes and crashes. I was hoping to be able to scroll back and forth to different notes I’d written in Xournal, but Xournal freezes when I use it with Zoom screen share. Have you encountered this issue,and if so do you have some way of working around it. I’ve been using OBS virtual cam to deliver this content, but some students complain that the images they see are fuzzy.

How to share dual screen sir? I want to share a book with its questions. Students read the book first then must answer the comprehension questions so how could I display the book and its comprehension question simultaneously?

My problem is that I couldn't see the other people in the meeting. When anyone spoke they took over the whole screen.

Is there any other method to share a PPT and have the "presenters view" side by side, without using the yellow/green border window?

I have a question that goes against a normal zoom meeting - how do I turn off all participants video and prevent them from turning it on (like we can with mute)? There are times when I would like to eliminate any risk of an inappropriate picture popping up.

I use a single screen and when I pull up powerpoint and start the slide show I cannot move through the slides. What am I doing wrong?

I’m trying to screen share a presentation but need to see all the students too for their reactions. What do you recommend? How do you use 2 devices so that one screen shows what you’re presenting and the other device can show the students?
