I though you mite need a little help this mite help you
ОтветитьI made a dual adjustment tracking system for my home build 2x72 some years ago & I thought it was pretty trick. But mine used an additional thumb wheel like the primary adjustment as well as counter springs & such. Unfortunately, I never did round the slots, instead only having them straight. So although it. has worked, it could be much better. And I’ve wanted to redo it for some time. I haven’t to this point because I’ve also wanted to simplify it at the same time. I came across your video this past week and started looking for parts immediately! Sorry.. would have purchased from you except I’m really good at finding the parts used in custom tooling by sight & copying components for MUCH cheaper! I’m actually the guy who FIRST figured where to find the parts (the dual Linear Sliding rail!), how to & build the Travis Wuertz designed Surface Grinder Attachment (SGA-1) for the 2-72 grinder. I made the BIG thread about it with pics & how to on Blade Forums all those years ago & everything. Then watched over the years as hundreds & hundreds of others starting building them, many even selling them! (Felt kinda bad about that.) but yeah… that was me! Anyway, thank you very much for posting this & giving me the idea to copy.
ОтветитьHey Brian - I just got my fast track system, but I lost my original gen 4 plans when my old hd crashed. where can I get the tracking arm layout and drilling plans?
ОтветитьIs this open source?
ОтветитьHello, are you sending drawings to the UAE? And how can I send the payment?
ОтветитьBrilliant design! Thanks!
ОтветитьHey man you ever thought about making up a bandsaw attachment for your platen? New wheels, a different table and a adjustable blade support in place of the platten face. Could make a new front wheel support with throat depth in mind.
Be a pretty cheap way for someone to make a bandsaw if they already have a grinder
Ordered 👍Looking forward to using it. Thanks for the work you do.
ОтветитьWhat a gem of a channel I found 430am this morning!
ОтветитьAlways good content and products!!!!! I can wait to see the apollo forge on the market.
ОтветитьAwesome bit of kit man. Being able to adjust the forward axis is such a huge asset. Thanks for your help with my tracking wheel problem the other day. If you're in the market for a belt grinder the revolution is the way to go!
ОтветитьHi Brian,
Thanks you for that video. I build my 2x72'' as a bolted version of your revolution gen 4 in 2021 and I also included that tracking mechanism right away. But ever since i used it as you described it in your prototype video. So initial setup to align the tracking wheel and then use the tilting mechanism to do adjustments. But this never really worked as expected. Due to vibrations my screw for the tilting mechanism is loosening while grinding and it needs re-adjustments all the time. Now I tried to do the adjustments as you explained in this video and it work much better.
Greetings from Germany!
I'm embarrassed to admit I haven't built my Gen 1 yet....its on the list!
ОтветитьWill the updated plans be sent out to people who bought previous plans?
ОтветитьWhat’s going on with the Heretic tracking wheel?
ОтветитьLove it, Brian! Great job!
ОтветитьHi, I want to know where I can to get or buy your tools and where city do you live. Thanks for you tell me. I live in Sonora, Mexico.
ОтветитьLove it brother. 👊
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьGreat setup, having this additional axis of adjustment is a great idea :) Will look at this for my home built Gen1 Unit, great grinder :)
ОтветитьThanks, Brian! This really helps me understand how this works, and how it differs from my gen 4. Excellent work!
ОтветитьУ Вас дуже гарна картинка, подобається освітлення додаткове (підсвітка) та фон. Дрібниця, але приємно коли не забувають, підтримують Україну. Дякую за підтримку
ОтветитьIt really is an incredible tracking system! 👍🏻
