At .8 speed this is actually listenable!
ОтветитьLovely presentation but shame on whatever entity decided on NO CAPTIONS as the women describes Futurism speaking at break neck speed. The disabled are NOT GOING to accept being ignored no matter how Cruel life is under the current Fascist regime in America today.
ОтветитьWonderful!
ОтветитьHeil gastev
ОтветитьHeil the national- futurism
The Austrian painter was right
Means nothing without the fascist iconography. Like eating chicken with no bones; what do you have to grab onto? Shredding the chicken can work, but you are no longer just eating chicken by itself.
Ответитьgod I wish I could have seen this in person
ОтветитьPlease, release the automatic translation on video.
ОтветитьWow, she has a perfect english and italian accent
ОтветитьSo, it should really be called Italian Futurism of Marinetti (the main figure/driver of the movement).
ОтветитьI never fully understood Futurism until this video. Also didn't realize the movement included many other venues & media besides painting, such as theater, sculpture, photography, literature, etc. The names of its artists are unfamiliar to me but I certainly like many of the paintings captured in this video. I can explore further from this point on.
ОтветитьWhat about the fascism
ОтветитьFuturism was not only an artistic but social movement that has its origin in Italy and expressed admiration for speed, technology, youth, and violence. It was related to Italian Fascism at the beginning but always has some kind of relationship. One of the key figures was Tomasso Marinetti. Senior curator Vivien Greene did an excellent description of the masterpieces of this movement.
ОтветитьGod i hate futurism
Ответитьshe is talking way too fast
ОтветитьYOu skipped the Mussolini murals at the end of the exhibition. I LOVE this movement aesthetically, simply from the perspective of bourgeois standards of beauty. Boccioni's work in particular. I detest it's long association and ultimate co-optation by Italian fascism. But if you're going to study the movement, those images of Il Duce have to be included, even in this video, or at least one of them. I know it's offensive to many, as it should be. But you can't censor or omit those realities if you're going to be true to history. We should see the images and dissect them for what they were, pure racist, imperialist propaganda.
ОтветитьNice. My boy has to create an example of this for art class! Grazie
ОтветитьItaly is nothing but style.
